No physical connection means no transmission of vibration (it doesn't go out through the feet to the surface), no motor rumble.

For that matter it would also solve what you hear with your TA-5000.

VPI was going to make one before they shut down for COVID and never revisited it:

I am sorry but these AS tables seem to be as much or more about bling as they are about music.
They are like the audiophile equivalent of a gangsta rappa.
I's be embarrassed to have one in my audio room.

I prefer the no-nonsense approach to aesthetics by a company like VPI.

Operative word being, "seem". Read about the tech in AS tables, read the reviews, listen to owners' feedback and then maybe you'll revisit your opinion. ;-)

FWIW, I came from a VPI table, very good, but no comparison to AS.
