In the process of evaluating Audionet amps as a more musical amp upgrade from my Vitus RI-101 mkii.
I have just purchased a Music First Audio Baby reference 2 passive preamp so I could do with just a power amp. Looking at the Amp I v2 and the Amp mono blocks. I don’t want to spend more than that.
Rest of the chain: Linn LP12, MSB Discrete, TAD ME1.
I own the Audionet watt and I’m quite happy about it, it is fast and smooth without any analitical side to me. It is driving my Tidal Piano speakers very easily.
Previously I had a Power amp Hovland Radia and I gained à lot in terms of transparency and refinement in the move.

I have AudioNET Max mono-block amplifiers with Pre G2 Preamplifier which pair perfectly and have the synergy from the same manufacturer and power my 4 Ohm speakers of Wilson Audio Sasha DAW Speakers. They sound very neutral and natural sounding with good bass from the amps high Damping Factor of 1,800 @ 10 kHz and 10,000 @ 100 Hz, plus following my recent introduction of a full system loom of Siltech Classic Legend 680i Series cables they have further improved the overall sound.

Could it be the opposite 1800@100Hz and 10.000@10kHz?
I don’t think there is a connection between damping factor and “neutral and natural sound” but a high damping factor amp still can be sweet sounding as well as low one. Lots of other factors in play IMHO.
wow i have audionet max amps and pre g2, they are very neutral and fast but no soul or ability make magic. The upgrade to heisenberg is ridiculously overpriced and doubt they sell through at msrp. The dealer = distributor and probably has 60%+ margins. For $30k less you can smoke them with lots of orher brands. Heard they are going to launch lower price point to compete better.

I've heard reports along the lines of yours regarding Audionet Max. I wonder why you persist if you feel your amps don't bring the magic?
As to Scientist series, I've heard Stern/Heisenberg in a system sound far more compelling to me than any demonstration of top of the line Soulution, CH or Vitus Masterpiece. That's but a few of the SS high end options with price points reaching higher than Scientist series.
Complaining about the pricing policy of any of the high end brands rather misses the point, we make our own value judgements. Hope you're right and AN revise their pricing down!

We have owned a Audionet Humboldt for 4 years, previously the AMP 1 V2 and are smitten with the brand. To say they have 'no soul' would be to highly under estimate this brand since we feel, this is what they are full of. They are fast, smooth and non fatiguing, the Humboldt made the likes of Vitus, Gryphon, CH Precision sound sound rather uncouth. I will say the Humboldt, although rated at 300+w prefer an easier load, Estelon and Stenheim both good matches. Anyway I hope the OP enjoys his new TAD pre/power combo.
