For the last two years I have been experimenting with power cables/receptacles , I do have one Furutech Rhodium ncf receptacle in play for the phono stage, the others are oyaide non plated and copper colour , I did prefer the copper colour beryllium plug to the viborg standard unplated copper ( aluminium body ) , for the iec I preferred rhodium over unplated copper. I am now using pure solid silver iec and plugs which is very much my preference being a gradual move , and not entirely moved over yet with the other connectors.
If you decide to do any more experimenting try the Oyaide "Armored" AP-004 plugs which are not sold in the USA but are available from Japanese Ebay sellers. I received a set as a gift and have found them to be great sounding alone or paired with an Echole (custom) Oyaide 046 connector on my Omnia AC cable. To my ears they are Oyaide's best compromise between resolution and musicality.

The Oyaide "Armored" AP-004 and AC-004 (not distributed in the USA but available direct from Japan) are significantly better than the P/C-004 sold in the States. I have AC-004 on one end and the made for Echole version of the P-046 on the other end of my Omnia PC.
I don’t want to spoil your enthusiasm but genuine Oyaide plugs come in metal containers not paper boxes. I bought many of them for the last 15 years from certified distributors and all were in metal containers, except M1 and F1 they were in big boxes. IME fake ones come in paper boxes and usually sold on ebay. Additionally there is no AC-004 in Oyaide’s line of AC plugs on it’s original page. So, against good looks the AC-004 plugs are fake IMHO. I’m sorry.
IMHO they (AC-004) are fake. That could be the reason for them not being sold in USA. Try M1/F1 instead and always buy from a certified distributor like VHAudio and go for the cooked ones.
That is incorrect. The AC-004 and AP-004 were never distributed in North America, and came from Oyaide in paper boxes. I was gifted a set purchased from a high end dealer in Japan. I later purchased a 2nd set from a Japanese ebay site and everything about them was identical to the set purchased from the high end shop in Japan. They are outstanding plugs, and have been on Oyaide's Japanese language web page for many years. If you go to the Oyaide site and click on "English" you will not see the AP-004 and AC-004. If you click on "Japanese" they will be there with the rest of the models. Rather than trying to figure out which pictographs to click on you can just search for AC-004 at the Japanese language page.

There are reputable Japanese audio dealers with ebay stores and outstanding feedback. No doubt there are counterfeit products sold on ebay, but I have for example purchased Wellfloat platforms from official dealers and ebay stores and found the product, packaging, and performance to be identical.
