Yep sure that needs to happen, if you wanted to speed it up use a frybaby3....
Interesting. Does it take AC cords? Not obvious from the photos or manual. If not, then how relevant to the SDFB?

what in the hardware of the SDFB prevents it from being amperage user selectable? Would it be possible to introduce a design in which users can switch amp rating, maybe with a button on the box? Would the sluggos need to change? Or is it already possible and Im missing it in the lines?
I would see a lot of value and buying reassurance if, say I dont like it on my amp, or sell it and the new one is another rating, I could use it somewhere else..

From my understanding, it is a microprocessor controlled relay and hence the processor needs reprogramming back at base to have different current settings. Sluggos are just solid conductors and remain unchanged
tks! that is excatly what I understood as well, but them, what is preventing that reprogramming from being done - maybe at some added risk of course - at the click of a switch, or even with some online interface (of course that would mean adding ethernet port, maybe redesigning the whole box, etc.. Maybe a second , more expensive version could feat that? Still could be worthwhile.

I have upgraded my 2 SDFB's with the Super Piggy Tail ($200) and it is a very clear upgrade from regular Piggy. My amp is close to my power distributor so I was able to take out an AC cable I had loved and tried a Super Piggy into 2 Lessloss AC filters (they had been present already) into the SDFB and then another Super Piggy into nthe amp. In short the best sound I have ever had all from $400 in AC cables. I am looking to add more Core audio AC wires and am considering their IC's. So far they are punching at ten times their price. A terrific find!
Glad to hear that. I just ordered the SDFB with an extreme piggy tail pc last week. Will be used on my Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 600 amplifier.

Tubulus which has supplanted better known but inferior sounding cables from LessLoss, PAD, EnKlein, Snake River
and Mad Scientist Audio. They were all good but Tubulus, though the least expensive was the best. None of these changes were big tonal shifts- just more lifelike and involving.
I just got one of the graphene sluggos. Was using the pure copper sluggo before that. This is a next level upgrade. A layer of hash seemed to be removed, and I have only had it on for 2 hours so far. If you have the SDFB just get the graphene sluggo!
Note its directional. When an audiophile fuse is directional the wrong direction can sound a bit diffuse and out of phase. The graphene sluggo was not like that, it sounded good the wrong way around, so much so I was not going to even reverse it. I'm glad I did as the correct direction sounds even better. Its obvious, so just try it both ways.

Since I have one coming… The other sluggos have lettering and I always assume the direction follows that unless an arrow or listening tells me otherwise. Did yours follow that in the end?
I only had the copper sluggo, and did indeed use it following the lettering. But I never tried it the other way around, I was going to - but got too busy, then today the graphene arrived... so I cannot tell you if that copper sluggo was the correct way. I'm not going back to it.
