    I am very pleased with the SQ of the TRP3 w/ Engine 11 compared to my prior TRP2 w/ E53. The Poseidon clearly outperforms the TRP3 in DAC mode in all SQ disciplines. It‘s like you compare a (very) good mid class cartridge to a top level one.

    I didn‘t use the standby, but power off via a central power distribution strip (HMS Energia). With a hard power off, the volume setting returns to default.

    I had the Poseidon in my listening room, great gear, but I think the preamp stage is not in the path, if you just use the DAC mode. Different output ports are there either. The only thing that wonders me is, that you have to switch the volume level to full level at start up.

    Sorry, I raised the question first wrt TRP4, because I saw the note about TRP4 in the Q1 2024 price list. I followed the advice in the WBF and contacted Lampizator directly, the information is from LF directly. And indeed, the increase in SQ between TRP 2 w/ E53 and TRP w/ E11 is significantly.

    I got the info from Poland, that TRP4 is TRP3 w/ E11 and the JL-USB. The former TRP3 w/ E53 is TRP3. Otherwise I‘m more than curious to compare my TRP4 (certificate names it TRP3 E11 JL-USB) w/ Poseidon in Jan .

    Probably not, TRP 4 is with E11 and follows the naming conventions of the Baltic models, Baltic 4 has as well E11. But the website still shows TRP 3 with E11.

    I got the info from Poland, that TRP 4 is the actual TRP with E11. So TRP 3 is the predecessor with E53. At least I can confirm, that my actual TRP with E11 and JL USB is quite a bigger step up in SQ, compared to TRP 2 with E53 and Amanero USB.

    I didn‘t expe I didn‘t expect such a big step, but the result is clear in my setup. I had a chance to listen to a Baltic 4 at a workshop, quite Impressive, but no direct comparison.
