San Diego retailer will debut at AXPONA 2019 with a good showing of its portfolio, mixing traditional, established brands, and up-and-coming products that deserve a wider exposure.

Fronting the system is Bergmann Audio’s Galder turntable and Odin air-bearing tonearm. We’re very excited to carry Bergmann’s products in the US, so much that we’ve invited Johnnie Bergmann himself to our room to do the honors and introduce his amazing masterpiece to the public. And, with such an amazing analog rig, we're bringing our reference Dan D'Agostino Momemtum Phono Stage.

Amplification will be provided by the German LinnenberG Widor stereo amplifier, with its amazingly low 126dB noise floor. And, making its worldwide debut, the LinnenberG Satie will handle DAC/preamp duties. These products are represented in the US by Well Pleased AV, who has been a trusted partner of ours, so we’ve also very proud to show these new products. The LinnenberG Satie is a brand new product, that, at its sub-$10k price point, demands further investigation.

Our music server is our reference Innuos Statement, who’s been turning more than a few heads recently. This is a revolutionary digital transport!

Speakers are YG Acoustics’ brand new Hailey 2.2, launched earlier this year, and it’ll be making its show debut at AXPONA.

Racks will be provided by SGR, cables by Swisscables and power conditioner by GigaWatt.

Requests will be played during regular show hours, but if you’d like to schedule a private listening session, please contact us at contact@almaaudio.com.

It’s all happening in room #1426.

See you there!

Well, we did AXPONA because we wanted to showcase the exceptional Bergmann Galder/Odin combo, but our partners didn't let us down, and we did get a Positive Feedback Audio Oasis award!

We're very honored to have received it, and it's very encouraging for us, as this is our first attempt at that particularly tricky hotel room!

Thanks, PF / David!

And also, this just in, from Jonathan Valin, of The Absolute Sound:

"YG Acoustics’ loudspeakers were being widely shown at AXPONA, but the marque’s three-way, three-driver, two-box Hailey 2.2 (BilletCore woofer and mid/woof and BilletDome tweeter in two interlocking aluminum enclosures) driven by a D’Agostino phonostage and Linnenberg amplification and sourced by a Bergmann turntable was the best YG setup at the show. The Hailey 2.2 generated phenomenal dynamics on a Count Basie LP, with a terrific bottom octave, great density of tone color, and horripilating dynamic impact! Combining utter control and definition with granitic power from top to bottom, the Hailey was superb."

Tied for Best of Show!

Best Sound of Show (price notwithstanding) - a tie between nine systems ??? Really an indecisive reviewer ... :)

When you’re making your judgements based on which systems best portray the subtleties and delicate nuances within “Up On Cripple Creek”, apparently this is the outcome.
