Now that you mention it, I don't see the power transformer in the above amp. Amps that have 2 transformers are dual mono designs with two separate power supplies. Amps that have lots of caps have a big power supply with lots of reserve energy.

I see that the dual power transformers are hidden underneath the power supply caps in the above picture.
