I’m hoping that the Glanz will work well with the Koetsu stone body as I’ve just ordered a Coralstone diamond to use with itFantastic looking setup .. congrats. I have been enjoying he exact same thing (except AS Aquilar arm in rear) for the last six months and can't say enough good about it. Running a Lyra Atlas Lambda SL in the 12.1 and Lyra Etna Lambda mono in the Aquilar.
Would really love to add that Glanz MH-124S for the the Koetsu stone body carts I have, maybe it will be a revelation with them too.
Enjoy
Congrats! I hope you're not going to use that plasma arc lighter on your tt!Finally took delivery of my Brinkmann Balance with Glanz MH-124S together with Brinkmann 12.1.
Glanz playing with my Koetsu vermillion is a revelation - tight full bass, airy open highs and the wonderful midrange....: with more resolution and lower surface noise.
still breaking in the Glanz (blue) cable - but already the combination - balance, Glanz, Koetsu so much better than my Avid/SME.

Hi JuergenThere are two different Glanz Tonearm cables existing. The black one is a Japanese standard cable, like also being shipped with Sorane Tonearms, The blue one is better, mostly sold with XLR connectors. This cable is fine and a little on the warm side.
A good match, if RCA is needed, is the Ikeda Tonearmcable, which has a similar sound, than the blue Glanz cable.
Regarding the Glanz headshell, I do miss the Azimuth adjustment. So I am using the Yamamoto HS 6s Titanium headshell or the Acoustical Systems Arche headshell on the Glanz.
Both headshells will move the Koetsu signature a little into the dynamic and open direction.
If you like to underline the rich blend of the Koetsu, the Koetsu headshell is a nice pairing.
(which is an OEM version of the Jelco HS-30 headshell)
Enjoy the Glanz with Koetsu, very nice together!
it is.Hi Juergen
Is the azimuth adjustable with the Yamamoto HS 6S - couldn't find any documentation on it.

Enjoying my new turntable, and excitingly waiting the arrival of my Coralstone Diamond in a few weeks.it is.
Managed to fix my overhang issue:Enjoying my new turntable, and excitingly waiting the arrival of my Coralstone Diamond in a few weeks.
In anticipation of the above, and as it rained all day here yesterday, I checked the set-up of my two arms/cartridges with the Acoustical Systems Smart Tractor.
Brinkmann/Esturo in the 12.1 arm perfect, but when I came to the Glanz/Urushi, with a STP distance of 290 mm I have an overhang vs the null point of 3 - 4 mm with the Urushi set as far as it will go in the Arche head shell.
I tried all 5 geometries and had the same problem.....
So other than lengthening the STP distance, am I missing something???
Congrats! When my Blue Lace is due for a rebuild, I will be going Diamond.Managed to fix my overhang issue:
now I have a new toy to play with
set up is not as easy as I’d hope - a Koetsu Diamond cantilever should come with a new pair of eyes
@3125simon - having similar issues with setting up a cartridge using the SmarTractor, where I run out of space when trying to align with any geometry. The Glanz manual shows a distance of 50mm from the edge of the headshell to the stylus +/- 3mm, but I'm still short a few mm's. However, it does sound good so I'm scratching my head on how to use with the SmarTractor and what is the optimal position. Wondering if its the S-shaped arm that voids the SmarTractor geometries - will inquire with Acoustical Systems. When you stated above that you fixed the overhand issue - what did you end up doing?May I ask how?
I've never had a moment's difficulty setting up 9", 10" and 12" Glanz tonearms using the SMARTractor. It sounds like the spindle-pivot distance is incorrect. S-shaped arms are just like any other for a given geometric alignment, and are fine with the SMARTractor; at least I've yet to find one that isn't.@3125simon - having similar issues with setting up a cartridge using the SmarTractor, where I run out of space when trying to align with any geometry. Is the spindle to pivot distance set up for 15mm overhang, which was the Japanese preferred mounting. If so the stylus will be about 1.6mm short on Baerwald alignment.@3125simon - having similar issues with setting up a cartridge using the SmarTractor, where I run out of space when trying to align with any geometry. I would try it at a mounting distance of 291.5mm. That should get you Baerwald at least and hopefully without needing to twist the cartridge in the headshell for alignment.@Shuggie, @Direct Drive - Maybe I'm doing this wrong. The P2S is set at 290 mm. Do I have to add 15 mm to correct for overhang and create a new point inline with the existing point on the SmartTractor? I'm using the Uni-Din alignment and the line on the SmarTractor is a few mm's short when extending by 15 mm.
No, just mount the arm at 290mm from the platter spindle and you should be able to set the cartridge tip on the SMARTractor for UNI-Din, which is the alignment that I always use.@Shuggie, @Direct Drive - Maybe I'm doing this wrong.
