Arrest Made In Boston Marathon Bomb Explosion

Boston Marathon investigation: FBI has bombing suspect in custody, AP reports

By Liz Goodwin, Yahoo! News

Authorities have a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings in custody, according to the Associated Press.
A spokeswoman for the the US attorney's office in Boston would not comment to Yahoo News on the reports of the arrest. CBS and NBC News are both reporting that no arrest has been made.
The FBI is holding a press conference at 5 p.m. and is expected to announce the news then. CNN reported that the breakthrough in the investigation came from analyzing department store surveillance video and video from a news station.
The Boston Globe reported that officials have found an image of "a suspect carrying, and perhaps dropping, a black bag at the second bombing scene."

While the AP reports one suspect is in custody, a former Boston-area federal agent told Yahoo News that he suspects other arrests will follow.
“It seems unlikely that he would have acted alone,” said the federal agent, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to discuss the investigation publicly.
Police have said the two bombs were fashioned from debris-filled pressure cookers and stuffed in black bags. They were located about 100 yards apart.
“To carry one heavy bag in is one thing, but a single suspect having two bags would have stood out,” the law enforcement source told Yahoo News.

All I can do is read the news in disbelief. The USA isn't all that different to Australia, but the vital difference is that random mass violence by murderous psychopaths is thankfully extremely rare here.

Anyone watching now. Seems they have a second suspect down on the ground. They're talking about a "negotiated surrender" but no one knows who is down on the ground

As far as I know (and I'm here) they are still looking for the one brother. Massive manhunt, most people confined to houses etc.

Must be tough for those guys earlier with their pictures released all across the globe!
None of them were the bombers; but hey they were suspects anyway, and that's good business for the medias and it looks good for the FBI.

Tough for the uncle of these two young boys too, which couldn't adapt to that new world.
Methinks the oldest one (now dead) was the "ring" leader, and influenced his younger brother.
Truly sad to not have friends, or feeling rejected somehow ....

I saw these same original pictures on a Facebook post from a libertarian nutcase friend of mine. It was pointing to a site (www.infowars.com) spinning conspiracy theories about how the bombings were a Government job and the guys in these pictures were Navy Seals.

Yeah, I know; the world we live in is worst that the real world out there! ...And that is extremely sad.

* By the way, which year did the CIA agent, and friend of Bush, Usama Bin Laden die?
...In the real world, and in the other world, the truer one.

He is alive and kicking. In fact he just blew up a plant in Texas. Said nutcase friend posted on FB showing conclusively the fertilizer plant in Texas was blown up by a rocket.

To be perfectly honest with you, Ed; I don't have a clue of the real truth!
...Not regarding that fertilizer plant exploding earlier in Texas, and with coincidental dates from other related incidents of vast envergure from the past, but regarding the death of Bin Laden; when, where, and from what.

Like I said, we live in a very strange and twisted world ....

Bob, Pangloss was the philosopher in Voltaire's Candide who said that we live in the best possible world of all possible worlds because God made it so. He is then cruelly proven wrong in disaster after disaster.

Alright, thanks for that Keith.

BUT! Disasters mainly exist because we stick with them. There is another side of disasters, and it's the peaceful one, the intelligent one, the one where not too many people reassemble themselves like in big cities, but where men and women and children spread all over the vast virgin forests, and live in harmony with their 'natural' surroundings; like people living in the jungles of the Amazon for example (just to stay on the American continent).

* That fertilizer plant was only few yards from the school, the church, and the rest of the major part of the town. Actually the town was built around it!
I mean, what's 'natural' about that! ...It was meant to eventually be, no!
- Some disasters can be prevented, if man is using his brain properly, I truly believe.
