Arrest Made In Boston Marathon Bomb Explosion

Supposedly he is inside a boat in the backyard of a homeowner and he is dead.

Yep. And supposedly still alive.

Yes, alive thankfully (as in hopefully we'll get some answers).

Am I the only one who wished he would have suffered before he died? Just think of the thousands (millions?) of dollars we're going to spend in the courts, public defenders and appeals. Now he gets free room/board for life.... I don't get it. The victims didn't get that chance.

I thought they found him bleeding and took him to the hospital. If so, he was bleeding and hurting for many hours. Not remotely enough punishment of course but it is something....

That is a good point. I feel the same way about expensive incarceration, but what if there are others involved ? We would never know if he is dead. I say send him down to Guantanamo, interrogate him and try him as an enemy combatant. The civilian trial will be a circus costing millions as you say.

It will be a Federal trial and he will be put to death just like Timothy Mcveigh. He's scum but if they can get anything out of him it will make letting him live for a while worth the expense of a trial.

The same can be accomplished for far less down in Guantanamo. I am all for more efficient use of taxpayer dollars. A huge, notorious Federal trial is not efficient from a taxpayer point of view. I'm sure it's great for all those involved in the trial machine, economically.

No he won't... he'll cop a plea and get spared the death penalty for information against his brother. That's what happened to Terry Nichols and Michael Fortier.

Good evening, gentlemen. This is a tragic event in our nation, without a doubt. With that said, recent posts are treading on political waters and do not serve the best interest of the forum. Conversation should carry on to stimulate the mind, not bring about any agenda or views.

Please refrain from presenting your views as fact or otherwise. There are many different ways of dealing with punishment, none of which should be discussed on this forum. Updates are more than welcome but let's please stick to the topic and keep the off topic opinions elsewhere. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
