There are much bigger fish to fry for impact on the enviroment. At least young people that like BTC even understand the concept of caring about the enviroment even if BTC is not yet neutral.
The demand is actually valuable in that it generates more income for electricity people to use on exploring alternative energy.

Bitcoin has zero value, it is the devil supported by its disciples. It is an evil force run by the worst of the worst. There is zero privacy there is zero security there is zero good; it's 100% extremely bad.

I am sorry but that is just an amazing couple of statements.....
So we should not worry about the catastrophic environmental ramifications of Bitcoin because other human activities are even worse??? What kind of logic is that??? Ya, I am killing the earth, but others are more killing the earth....gotcha.
Further, we should all go out and burn as much electricity as possible, so electric companies have more profit to spend on a products that reduce their electric profits.

Bitcoin often is mined in areas that have low yield with much higher potential for energy use, and sometimes from more sustainable sources. It doesn't fluctuate so it really is a boost in revenue that can go towards exploring competitive electricity from more sustainable sources. They know it's a product people are interested in, but people haven't been pouring money into their laps, just telling them they want it.

You know things that I don't, or that are different from what I've read and believe.
1. Bitcoin is often mined where electricity is cheap.
2. It can negate the electricity price by raising it for the people living in the area, and can cause black outs during your favorite TV show.
3. The ultimate goal is to make money with other people's money.
4. The people who are most interested in bitcoin are the hackers, thieves, the corrupt investment companies, banks, drug dealers, loan sharks, bandits, mafia, crooks, rip-off artists, government clowns, magicians with fake masks from the circus, dicktators, ...
5. Ultimately people lose their life savings, commit suicide, just vanish from circulation.
6. Only the thieves drive away in their Testarossas and sipping martinis in the most exotic world's beaches.
Bitcoin is bad for the moral, for the equilibrium, for the health, for mankind. It just ain't not secure to deal with the underworld.
That's pretty much my overall line of view now. Almost every single day I'm reading some bad news about bitcoin; bitcoins have been stolen, North Korea is having trouble with this and that, India has been hacked, Japan found stolen bitcoins in prostitution homes, officials, Russia got away with a big lot, etc.
@ one point I was almost euphoric, aphrodiziac, like those twin brothers making the news every day. Now I'm thru, totally thru, forever with bitcoin.
We all make our decisions in life, I sure did. Good look with everyone else's own decisions.
The majority of WBF members here were right on from the very beginning.

Everything goes in cycles. It's your fault if you panic. During the early stages it looks like investing, and it'll shake out the weak over and over.

Some bankers love to have them for the investors who demand them.
But with zero value what kind of investors want them?
Anyway bitcon is on its way out for good and the world would be a better place without.
The only people left with bitcoin are the gullible and the hackers and the crooks.
Every single day there are bad news about bitcoin, the only people who still support it are crooks. Bitcoin e?poses the bad apples, that's the only positive.

Bob it occurs to me you've missed the entirety of the human history. While I've thought you were alien to me, now I know you're just an alien. Get a grip on history. You think there is laundering with Bitcoin? Have you heard and or seen fiat before? You don't know money laundering until you see it legally institutionalized with banks... all day every day it's happening.
what's funny is BTC was at 2,500 a year ago. it now has a 5-handle after hitting almost 20k.

I'm no alien, I'm a North American, a Canadian citizen, I'm human.
I know some about history, and the one that is in the making now.
Oh I get a grip, I get a real good grip on bitcoin, and some more.
I made some mistakes, I've been naive few times, been taking advantage of, no more. Bitcoin is a bad karma, the far away I stay from, the best.
You're still my friend, nothing will ever rupture that bond, that friendship between close allies. History is a powerful reminder.
