These Sound Labs 9 ft towers I need to listen to much more extensively, to fully decipher their enormous potential and negatives, but in some performance areas no speakers regardless of price can match them! You better have at least 10 ft ceiling, and be prepared to enter another dimension of sight and sound!

Yup, I agree wholeheartedly with your description. Thankfully I do have 10 feet ceilings and these fit just right in my listening room. Mine are the same in a different finish that matches my room decor. Nice that you can customize these to your furniture.

Since I like listening in the dark I enjoyed this room for its ambiance.

I know 2 people with Odyssey Amps. About a $6500 set of monoblocks. I doubt in a blind test you would pick them apart from something costing $50,000

Val Cora's new entry-level, inexpensive MRB mini-sneakers make a big sound in a big room!

My vote for best sound at the show is the VPI room with the big Stenheim speakers. The table was set up perfectly (of course) with that clarity that only a great direct-drive table can being. The AT cartridge was great - fast, articulate, but very natural sounding. The Gryphon amps sounded very balanced and the Steheim speakers were spectacular - So lifelike and natural. The synergy of this set up was off the charts

Ron, I saw you in the tiny Soundlab room. You were so busy I just waived from afar.
I agree about the Kharma. They were owned by a customer of Evolution 20\20 Audio. Brand new out of the box. The owner was hovering about.
A word about Soundlab. They should be paired with an OTL. Preferably an Atma-sphere MA2.
it appears they were trying to dispel some myths, One, was that it needs a huge room. It was fine in near field in a room the size of a matchbook. Two that it requires a behemoth amplifier. In another room it as paired with a low watt L.T.A. amplifier. It sounded great.

I also took a selfie with Michael Fremer.
