Thank you all for your help, I got a hold of a 07x and should be arriving this Friday. Took me some courage to pull the trigger as it’s an older unit from 2018
It will be fed by a totaldac, 2 Sonic Frontiers DACs, a Musical Fidelity phono stage, which in turn will feed a First Watt J2 and my headphone amps. Excited to have this quality piece of kit after months of deliberations.

07x arrived today :)

Remote is programmed with both 07x and CSiB, yet 07x preset doesn’t work with it. Only the CSiB does, can’t find the remote code for it either.

Anyone know what it is, or a workaround as Coda is not listed in the remote database. Tried to program my Logitech Harmony and no matches either.

I’d call Doug Dale at CODA. He will help you out I’m sure.

What is your experience of the preamp?

It’s been great, was the missing piece in my system and haven’t felt the need to upgrade anything else since I got it.

It’s pairs well with my First Watt J2, and am able to use the processor out to connect to my headphone amp too.
Plenty of inputs for my DACs and phono stage and having the ability to match each input level feature I wanted in a pre-amp.
It’s dead silent, no weird interference or ground loops.

The remote is nothing special, in fact it’s a bit overkill and outdated. I ended up programming my harmony remote by learning its commands as Coda is not in the database.

I would also add the build quality is top notch, it’s a good weight and has little resonance in the chassis.

I've had the Coda s5.5 since August 2024 and it is simply an amazing amplifier for my system. Since I use the Legacy Audio Focus XD's with the internal bass amplification I don't need a lot of power, yet this thing shines. Everything I do to my system I can hear , good or bad. LOL. I just added a new Denafrips Terminator 15th DAC and man it just lets everything through that this DAC has to offer. I don't have a preamp because the Legacy Wavelet II handles that duty as well as outboard crossover and room correction. I got my amp forum member vinylvalet
