I think I have decided that I like R2R NOS DACs. I am thinking Rockna, Holo etc

Wow I was not expecting this. I compared my Auralic Vega (original) to the Baltic 4 and the Vega beat the pants off the Lampi.

What were the differences in sound? I'm considering a lampizator myself.

I had the May for a while, and liked it a lot.

I sold it to go up to the next level (10k plus), because I thought it lacked resolution (compared to higher prices dacs) and texture (compared to my modified tube DAC).

But beyond that, it really was great, and I would recommend it highly.

I would look at the Weiss but I would also look at the Aqua DACs and the Benchmark DAC 3.

Aqua dac is also a good choice to look at
