Many moons ago, (roughly 48 years ago) I bought my first quality ttable..a BD2 ! Fully assembled, not the kit. After a few evenings of waking to the k thunk k thunk of my stylus in the lead out groove, I picked up an simple autolift from my audio dealer. But for the life of me I can't recall the brand! It was a simple damped cantilever design as I recall that lifted the arm off the surface gently. Any ideas? Now that I have my toshiba 210 ttable working properly (got the lift damped finally, surprisingly simple I might add) I want to find a cheap lift in case I find myself nodding off (a common occurrence once I hit 70!!)

Thorens Q-UP

I had a Q up but found it a bit uh, mechanical.
Switched to the Audio Technica and have been happy.

This company’s solutions are milled and finished to a very high standard and simply work …
