Highly recommended. After trying them out at home in front of my system, I used them when watching the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" in our local cinema yesterday. These earplugs don't muffle the sound, they just make everything softer (12 -20 dB), with only a slight taming of the highs relative to the other frequencies, which is very welcome since most PA/auditorium systems have tipped-up highs anyway.
In the auditorium the sound reached measured peaks of 100 dBa (approx. 105 dB), which I did not want to exposed to (I'll take that as an exception at the symphony, but not for reproduced music). I enjoyed the music at a still loud, but not alarming level that could have damaged my ears. The sound was clean and clear, as if I had had no plugs in my ears, just a bit softer.
