Fraud by Chan, owner of Pachanko Labs

Hello @ralda, I finally contacted Kenneth LAU. Kenneth confirmed that he built my URPSU and the transformer is a copper one and not silver as expected from the different messages and specification.
In one way I’m pleased to know that the design and the assembly is coming from Kenneth I know since he was starting PSU for the Lumin A1, in the other way I’m very disappointed by Pachanko I was interacting a lot in the past years through messenger. Discovering that this person was only duplicating some designs and subcontracting while he was arguing « handcraft in La Reunion » is really a bad surprise.
You can imagine that he does not answer any more on messenger.
Hello, @Patatorz.
According to Mr. Kenneth Lau, “Chan King knew nothing about electronic, he even don't know the priority of the PSU's output ”.

The following (1) through (3) is my understanding of the legal claims process (redressment judiciaire) for NEXT STEP COMPUTING SOLUTIONS (Pachanko Labs).

(1) On March 21, 2025, an order of commencement of proceedings for judicial reorganization (redressement judiciaire) was issued.

(2) Payment of the debt of NEXT STEP COMPUTING SOLUTIONS (Pachanko Labs) incurred prior to the March 21, 2025 order is prohibited, except for setoff.

(3) If a creditor fails to notify the trustee of his claim within two months of the order of March 21, 2025 (extended by two months if the creditor resides outside France), the creditor forfeits his rights.

If my understanding is correct, I will forfeit my rights to NEXT STEP COMPUTING SOLUTIONS (Pachanko Labs) if I do not file my claim with the trustee within 4 months of March 21, 2025.

Here, I leave aside the issue of Chan's personal liability for damages related to his fraudulent acts.

At least in Japan, it is common that only a few percent of claims are recovered by participating in bankruptcy proceedings.

In the same way, it is clear that if I entrust a French lawyer with my case, I will have a legal fee collapse (i.e., legal fees will greatly exceed the amount of claim recovery).

From reading the following document with a translation tool, it seems to say that it is possible to file via the electronic portal.
Is it possible to easily file claims from overseas?

Or do I have to fill out the following form (I don't know how to fill it out or what address to send it to...) and mail it by registered international mail to the trustee along with the prima facie case?

I would like to know if anyone is familiar with the French legal restructuring process.

btw does this Kenneth Lau have a website? Or is he facebook and you pay into his bank account, same exact problem as Pachanko in the first place?

Mr. Kenneth Lau is using a thread on the Audiophile Style message board to conduct sales activities. I don't think he has a WEBSITE.

I also contacted him through the email address listed in the Audiophile Style thread.

I am the Japanese customer who ordered the unregulated power supply shown in the following Audiophile Style thread with pictures.

I was able to use Paypal in my transaction with Mr. Kenneth Lau, and I wired him the money for the unregulated power supply via Paypal, which has a buyer protection.

Therefore, I do not think there is the same risk as with the transaction with Chan at Pachanko Labs where Paypal was not available.

Hi,
I have ordered and used Mr. Kenneth Lau’s Linear DC power supply for 10 years.
They are all still running flawlessly..
The built quality is exceptional and hie is a gentleman to deal with.
I can recommend him highly to anyone looking for very high end Dc power supply

Mr Lau's LPS seems to have superlative build quality and very good pricing.

Just to let 'ya all know that the Pachanko Labs website is down, does not exist anymore.
It sailed away in the myst of time, into oblivion.

This is the logical omen of what will happen to the fraudulent business practices of mr. King Chan.
It's going right down the abyss.

What a mess this con artist and liar leaves of nice and excellent music servers in themselves....

A high end brand/product is surely dying or dead already ... because of their CEO. Just outrageous if you think about it. "Made in La Réunion" .... yeah.., "right".

I'm sure mr. Chan knew S**T about technical stuff as well as running a business.

Just wondering now why dealers like Chameleon Audio in Greece for example still have a Pachanko Labs product page and don't make any mention of manufacturing or deliverability suspensions...
Or it must be that they wanna get rid of stock.

I feel bad for anyone owning a Pachanko music server because while they are excellent products, support is down the drain as well as future upgrades and (future) (second hand) market value.

One thing that wasn't mentioned in this thread is how badly dealers were affected by this fraudster.
I am certain Chameleon Audio, who BTW have been an exemplary dealer in every respect, are in deep, having prepaid thousands for undelivered (or more correctly ... never to be delivered) stock.
As audio servers are not exactly a product you'd buy in amazon on impulse and on-line info, pricing and web-store functionality for such products are indicative at best, I don't really see the point of mentioning something, regardless of existing stock or not.

Good point, here we are talking not about 4k but maybe 40k, this is an even bigger issue.

Don't forget we're talking covid/post-covid period here, where even large corporations were faced with delays due to parts unavailability. It's not at all hard to imagine losing track of time, especially when you have to confront a wall of lies and soddy excuses..

Hi, Mr.Gerald

I sent an e-mail to the e-mail address “passif2.reunion@etudehirou.com” that you gave me for contacting creditors on April 23, but received no reply, so I resent the e-mail on April 30 from another address, but received no reply as well.

Even if there is no reply to my e-mail, is the claim notification still accepted?

I have translated the text of the email into French using DeePL, and as prima facie evidence, I have attached the WISE remittance certificate and the text of previous emails as PDF files.

The title of the email is “Notification par les creanciers des creances detenues sur NEXT STEP COMPUTING SOLUTIONS”.

I would appreciate your advice on how to contact.

I'm not an lawyer ;-) I also have not received anything, but this is completely normal in the process. Will take time, because he needs to collect and sort it out how to response to individual (sure will take months). Those are lawyers, so not answering E-Mails just to react :)

I do NOT expect anything, depending on how he handles the company insolvency proceedings (highly doubt there will be a re-structuring). Keep in mind, there is always a certain sequence who get's money first, if something is left! So end-customer will be the last and mostly you will not see anything. Keep expectations low, that's insolvency reality!

Hi, Mr.Gerald.

Thank you for your reply.
I will not think any further about this matter as it appears that others have not received a reply to their emails from the trustee's lawyer.
