FTA (Final Touch Audio) Sinope USB cable

OK, I let it stream overnight and all day so I probably have 25-30 hours on the cable. Insanely good. I normally have almost a 180 degree sound stage on certain recordings. One that starts to wrap around behind you. It is the nature of the circuits in the preamp and amps to do this if the recording allows. What I hear is even more of the wrap around, and the system appears to be louder at the same volume level. Of course this is not true, but it is because the dynamic range has improved and so has the blackness. The tone quality and textures of instruments and vocals are significantly improved, micro details that were always there are very apparent now, and there are subtleties at the edge of the sound stage that are much clearer. Also, I played a few recordings that I always thought were on the verge of brightness and, for the most part, the brightness is completely gone, but all detail and tonality remains. Subtle, but very noticeable.

I realize this description will not help a lot of you because I went from a mere $150 cable to the Sinope, and I am not comparing it to other cables at a similar price point. So, sorry about that. What I will say is that I built amps for a living, and now I build prototypes that others produce, so I have a pretty decent ear, and this usb cable is a huge step up. The signature Rendu is a very good streamer and the of course the Pacific 2 with high end tubes is a very good DAC. So I can hear the cable difference quite clearly. I doubt you would be unhappy provided the rest of your system is at this level. Whether you (or I) would prefer some other very high end usb cable is an unknown, and I cannot be of help there. So I hope this info is of help to someone, but for those looking for comparisons to other high end usb cables... sorry. My 2 cents......
Agreed, I did an 8 cable shootout and really liked the Sinope... https://www.whatsbestforum.com/threads/usb-cable-shootout-8-cables-tested.37488/
