We have our first look at the ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel series, ‘House of the Dragon,’ slated to debut in 2022 on HBO and HBO Max. The show takes place 300 years before the events in 'GOT' and will focus on telling the story of House Targaryen. The series is adapted from George R.R. Martin's 2018 novel ‘Fire & Blood.’ These images provide glimpses of the cast, which features ‘The Crown’s Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint and more.

I'm looking forward to this

One thing is for sure, there will be plenty of violence, you can count on that.

Season 2 starts June 16

Don't know about anyone else but for me Season 2 was largely monotonous

I couldn't agree more. We finished the last episode last night and what a dumb ass way for it to end. Season one was just OK and we hoped for something special season 2 but it was a yawner

It’s such a great story and they largely milked it in Season 2. Clearly setting up for season 3 which I hope the support.

Season 2 was an absolute bore. Finally get to what it’s all about and the season is over. It’ll likely be 2 years until season 3

I kept wanting it to move along. They left a lot to wrap up in a single final episode but they did not rush it and left it hanging. Still, the CGI sets, costumes and context details are stunning.

Yeah, I kept waiting for season 2 payoff and it never came. I appreciate the acting but watch shows like this as much for the action.
