Hello guys and gals:)
I'm daveyf and I have been addicted to this great hobby for over 30 years. I'm from the S.Calif area.
I received my introduction to the hobby at Audio Dimensions in San Diego, back in the day. My first system consisted of Maggie 1's and a HK tube pre-amp with a Hafler DH220 amp. I have had many systems since then and now enjoy Sonus Faber Guarneri Hommage's along with a Jeff Rowland model 8 with choke power supply and an ARC D70mk2 tube amp, along with my mighty CAT preamp.
I have been a vinyl ( that's record) collector for over 35 years and can say that I am a STRONG believer in the superiority of the LP over digital.
My current system can be seen here: http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?vopin&1041373357
I'm also a member of the San Diego Audio Guild and welcome any and all visitors to the area to attend any of our meetings.
Finally, a BIG thank you to oneobgyn for starting this VERY interesting Forum. I will look forward to many future posts.

Good morning and welcome to the forum. Had a peek at your system and noticed that about the only thing we have in common is what appears to an IKEA EXPEDIT bookcase for holding your vinyl.:) You Sir have a beautiful system.

Welcome aboard. Interesting combo of WTA arm and Linn Table :) Haven't seen that too often!

Lovely system, but what's in the two guitar cases in the foreground?

Hello Phelonious Ponk, Great eye. You saw that I am indeed a guitar lover/player as well.
In the cases are a Taylor 810 acoustic, an Eric Clapton Strat and a Ash Amer Standard Tele.
In the room, but hiding, I have a Mesa Boogie Tremoverb 2/12 combo with JJ and Svet tubes, a Rowland Micro cube and
numerous pedals etc.
I also have a Vox Tonelab modeler that helps on occasions. I wonder when the audio community will be
introduced to amp/speaker modeling?

Good stuff all around there, brother. Sorry for the veer off-topic guys, but here I have an early ('83) non-electric Taylor 812c. A Gibson Custom Shop Original Jumbo, a G&L ASAT Junior and a vintage Deluxe Reverb.
