The tube lair in beautiful Rock Hill, SC
Man, this kind of weather is for the birds. 100 degrees at high noon. The forecast for today is 103 degrees with a heat index of over 105 degrees. It's a good thing that tomorrow we will see some relief. It'll drop down to a cool 102 degrees. I'm trying to do some gardening and I can't last more than 10-20 minutes without feeling an overwhelming sense of seeming like I'm literally working inside an oven.

The Charlotte area has only seen 100 degrees in June seven times since the start of record-keeping (1944, 1945, 1952, 1956, 1959 and 1998). I'd go to the pool right now but I have a sneaky suspicion that the water temperature inside the pool is lukewarm. In other words, no relief. I do hope that the weather is better where you are right now.

*wipes sweat profusely from brow*

For me to say it is hot around here would be quite an understatement.

Presently in P-au-Prince Haiti ... thermometer hitting 97~99 with regularity ...

It's in the mid to high 90's here and will be again tomorrow. Despite a really nice breeze I had to return to the office as I simply felt weak and somewhat dizzy. It wasn't dehydration either as I had plenty of water with me.

Here in Santa Cruz, CA it is scorching 71 degrees F, but it will drop down to 50 tonite.

Liquid lunch?:D

Haha! No, those days are long behind me! I did reach for a cold beer from my fridge once I got home though! ;)

Look at the bright side, you only have to deal with that kind of heat a few weeks in a year :)

Well, it ended up breaking the all time record for heat today. 104 degrees with 26% humidity. 3,000 people are without power, six people hospitalized and one person is fighting for their life right now from heat related illness. Duke Energy also warned thousands of South Carolina customers that they are going to lose power during this weekend’s heat wave due to a substation that they expect to fail due to the energy demands.

I gave up working on the garden. It was just too hot. It got to the point to where I would work for 10 minutes and it would take me 20-25 minutes to cool down. I think I'll just start working on it again at sunrise.

Yeah, I know but this isn't the hot season. Our normal high for this time of year is 88 degrees.

104?????? Wow that is hot! Looks like our planet needs to pop a big cloud of volcano ash again.

We hit 105 here today and it was 103 yesterday.

Our summer is over and the clouds are rolling in along with some rain. Even here near the equator we didn't reach 104. By the way, I'm back home.

I was in Bloomington, IN earlier tonight and my Edge was telling me the outside temp was fluctuating between 107-108. When I got home it was 105. The temperature has now dropped to 89.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's currently 95 degrees with close to 40% humidity at 9:00PM. Still miserable but I can deal with that. Today was ridiculously hot from about noontime on. It looks like this will be the norm until Monday when it will stay down below the three digit mark.

I wonder where in the U.S. is the most hot and humid. I will make a mental note to avoid that place.

--- A perfect 72 degree here today on the Island;
with a perfect sky (blue with clouds), perfect humidity (60), and a perfect life. ...Island Life! :b

...Had a beer earlier (HARP lager).
