I am experiencing hum with turntable Pro-ject X8 Evo & Eleac PPA2 phono preamp .
I have upgraded to a Nordost Blue Heaven. Unfortunately, I am still having "hum" sound.

I have also tried to connect the turntable to the Puffin phono dsp.

I have upgraded from a 1788 phono cable to the Nordost Blue Heaven.
I have attached the ground cable to the chassis pin of the Eleac PPA2. This
There is no ground connection on the Pro-ject turntable.
I don't know if the ground wire of the Nordost Blue Heaven cable is connected to the middle pin of the Din connector.

Sorry for my bad English.

The first thing I would do is shunt the phono pre and listen if hum stops. This will give you guidance of where hum starts.
if you shunt the phono pre input silence should be heard
next step is turntable grounding to phono preamp. in most cases you don’t need or want a ground wire from phono pre to preamp
Next is the arm tube wires from cart to phono pre amp
the arm tube wires most times have a ground wire or one wire is attached to ground
the table may not need a ground wire but the arm tube wires do
let somebody explain better

Thanks! I believe I found the sollution. The X8 TT does not have a ground connection. There is a ground wire on the tone arm which goes to the middle pin of the Din connection. The Nordost Blue Heaven has an extra ground pin that can be connected to the Chassis connector of the Eleac PPA 2 phono preamp.
