JackD201 - Almost Done

Hi Jack,

Nothing new with me. I haven't listened the last month. But I would be more than happy to invite you over. How is Jan. 19 or Jan. 25?

On another topic, Lao is a music lover. I remember he used to come over and listen to my system every December. He like new age recordings by Narada. I remember he prefers solo works and small groups.

Hey Bob, Knut and I sealed the deal. I should get my hands on some Soulshines and A3.5s by mid February. Time to grab some TFK802S'!

Let me know what you think when you've got them. The designer of my old amp loved Telefunkens btw.

Either date looks good for me at the moment Sam :)

Maybe we can invite Lao over. I've been a fan of his work for some time and really wanted something from the Buddha TV series, then I chanced upon this piece in a gallery deep in Pasay City. It was exactly what I was looking for. Wanna take a look?

I sure will Bob. I'll give 'em the obligatory hours and make serious assessments on at least 4 different pairs of loudspeakers before I tube roll. I'm going to try them with Unifield 1s, Unifield 3s, LSA 1 Statements and the Ambience Reference 1600 ribbons. All in the comfort of my own bedroom. This should be fun!

The things we consider a good time :)

Hi Jack,

Let's schedule it for Jan. 25. I lost Lao's contact details a long time ago. If you don't mind, please contact him and invite him to join us. I hope he remembers me.

I would love to view your Lao. My wife is also a big fan of Lao. May I bring her with me?

Sure Sam, your family is always welcome. Bring your girls too, they're the same ages as mine. They can play. :)

I don't know Lao personally but I'll give it a shot.

I don't see a painting in the latest picture. Am I missing something?

I see something there Lee but being your typical mid-westerner in a fly over state and more familiar with Norman Rockwell :p the image didn't jump out at me :D

Here's a closer look

and a bit about the artist :) The 6'x7' painting is from the same series as the one shown in the link below

Pictures really don't do his works justice. They are as Mullard88 says, like portals. :)

That is pretty cool Jack. You must have paid in excess of $100 for it I'm guessing. Seriously, nice art and very appropriate for the front wall of your room.

Hi Jack,

I think I know why you asked me if there is anything new. You must be thinking of the Crosby modified Quad 63s driven by the Lamms. I will tidy up the room and move the Quads in right after I host the Loo cousins one of these weekends. I hope you don't mind listening to the same system on Jan. 25. I will definitely invite you again when the Quads are isntalled.

Hi Jack,

Thanks for including my daughters. I know Lao. I just lost his contact number. If you have it, please text it to me and I can invite him.
