This company sells QC/Qualification software and hardware for speakers and headphones. Unfortunately it was expensive and only fit for production quality control and not as much for design.
This seemed interesting though as he said they source these headphone mics from a chinese company at low cost:
He said they actually worked pretty good although not as good as western designs.
