Love taking pics of the gear

I wanted to add another pic to keep this thread going until you guys can add more pics as well.

Here is a pic I took and posed on my FB a few months back as I was excited about doing a Sake tasting with a Saturday night music session:

LOVE IT!!! Are those the 12FH's like I have? I am IN LOVE with those speakers. I'm gong to be trying putting RevOpods under them tonight.
Yes. The 12FH just got delivered on Wednesday; trying them out as I still have my Tannoy Kensington GR (uk made). I'm still running in the 12FH using an old tuner. I have a set of Stack Audio Auva 70 to try when I get the correct studs/bolts for the back-foot -- didn't realize the back-foot on the 12FH is made of wood.

I found at 24 hours they started to get a bit more bass. At 125 hours they opened up a bunch. At 325 hours the difference was greater from 125 to 325 than 0 to 125. They absolutely need 350ish hours.

Thanks. The sound did get a bit "smoother" after 24 hours. So far, have only about 55 hours. Many more to go. Look forward to watching your review video.

Just listened for a bit...I can see why you are in love with the 12FH. Although mine have only ~80 hours on them, there's already a meaning full amount of change. Smoother sound. Better height, depth, and width. Also better layering...even my 19yo niece, who's an amateur violinist, clearly noticed the difference and improvement.

To me the amount of emotion they convey with the massive amount of dynamics and the ability for great musical insight while never sounding analytical of hifi is a real treat.

As for tweaking do yourself a favor and get a quality digital level (I got an Empire on on sale at HD last week for $99). When you level them left to right and also get the angle exactly the same on both of them, it is next level.

I found my very rewarding when taking them time to find the right angle. Too low and they were lifeless. Too high and they were blah. Just right and they willl sound HUGE with amazing amounts of detail and air and momentum.

These are done with a lowly iPhone12 Mini.

I sold this to a guy who had some enormous Infinity loudspeakers.

Electronics corner. Streamer-preamp, crossovers, CD drive/player, and 6 power amp channels.

A wintry overview. Speakers are dipoles with closed box subwoofers below 45 Hz. A four-way system. Lots of Linkwitz and Finke ideas went into it. Some extra electronics under the 51 years old Thorens.

Great idea gear porn! Here in one of my set-ups. DIY passive M2 and their trickle down little brothers 308 Mk 2's.

Rob :)

My man -- it's so funny you brought up the tools you are using. Here are the ones I use, including an angle gauge. I've been playing with set-up and positioning quite a bit -- fwiw the speakers now have a pitch of 4.75-4.8 degrees.

I use that taped up white board and my Klein laser distance finder to measure the listening position angles.

LOL - we're doing it the same!

I sued a Klien verton of the digital angle meter you have pictured. Then I decided to try the $99 Empire 24" digital Level from HD. It is MUCH more accurate than the little square Klien I had and I promise you when you angle them from left to right and match the back angle to both speakers it will be next level.

I found 5.25% to be a noticeable step up in sound with 5.20 and 5.30 not sounding nearly as good.

I honestly would NOT have believed it had I not tried it myself. In my room they sound better time just a tich high as direct at me or lower they sound a bit lifeless in comparison. Then I put my AGS floor diffusers about 6" away from them right in front.

Very nice. Thank you for sharing. Yup - I use my iPhone for lots of pics as well!

Very cool. I'll have to try your angle/pitch. Btw, that Klein is just a distance measuring tool. The silver thing, AccuRemote is the angle finder/gauge. Might have to try a digital level. Thanks
