Hi Ked, You know my studio/loft/laboratory would NEVER look like this unfortunately Just installed these M3's/Ipods yesterday. This room is in a gorgeous open loft in the city. It's NOT a man-cave or audio listening room type environment. It's a huge living space, with spectacular art work and furnishings. The client has several sets of different electronics, ie, Spectral, Devialet etc.
There are two other systems in the loft as well in a study and bedroom that are more intimate settings. It's surprising how good the M3's sounded right out of the crates in such a large open space. Fills the room with beautiful music and if you sit on the "listeing couch" there is a super wide and very nice soundstage. You would not think the M3's would pressurize the huge space, but for some reason the bass sounds really good.
Lately I 've been selling/installing many systems to NYC clients that are not hard core audiophiles, but love and listen to music daily. They just want the systems set in their living environemnts, not dedicated listening environments. Ie, in these last few systems.
