For the last 10 or so years, we here in the Philippines have had an annual Hi Fi Show, usually slated in the first or 2nd weekend of November. Yesterday, I was very glad to get an invite by Jack to help 'man' their room via playing some records from my own collection and in so doing, get a chance to operate the fabulous TechDas Air Force 3 with a Phantom arm and TechDas cartridge. I was told while operating it that I could 'own' it, but I thought it was a dream. :D As they say, if you can't own it, you can at least pretend to own it. :D It was a great show as usual, with lots of old friends visiting Jack and Keith's VS/Lamm/TechDas set-up, wired by the amazing Masterbuilt cables, and the PureSound Men-in-Black, as Jack and Keith are known locally, set the room blazing with their just arrived Mercedes Red VR 55 Activ loudspeakers, handsomely priced at $65,000. Off the crates only a few days and into the show, they sounded really good, very much improved from the older sets of VR 4 or 5 series in terms of transparency, open-ness, dynamics and a wonderfully 'sweet' midband. And yes, the bass is tremendous as well, amazing for a couple of 8 inch drivers per side. There are many other rooms with excellent sound and fabulous audio products as well, as here are some pictures.

We are extremely exhausted but very happy as well. Thanks so much for all the help Phil. As always your rare, pristine selections are total delights. There's nothing like being surrounded by real friends. That you definitely are!

My pleasure, Jack my good friend. I know how physically these shows will take its toll on exhibitors as your full attention is needed to demonstrate the products you carry but in the end I can see the glee in your face when good music is captured. Kudos to you and Keith!

great photos and some really nice systems. any videos with sound by any chance?
