Miscast!

I had no idea Bob. Absolutely no idea. He really should steer clear of any roles that requires him to do any accents. He's been in a lot of period pieces. As far as Matrix goes, yes he made it his. I just keep on thinking how it might have been if River Phoenix hadn't died.

-----At first I thought you were joking, but I realized within couple seconds that you indeed didn't know (about them being Canadians).

And yes, Keanu appears in several "period" flicks; like I said, he has a strong Theater background.

Matrix, he owns it!

River Phoenix, we'll never know ....

In action roles he seems to take to the greenhorn part well (Matrix, Pointbreak) but seems to be less convincing as the fully developed hero. At least in Speed or Constantine he didn't have to go through the usual greenhorn, finds sensei, gets disillusioned, finds renewed sense of purpose and dedication routine. If there was anything wrong with his character in Constantine it would be one picked up on by Comic lovers. Constantine was blond and terminally ill. Same for Jackman as Wolverine. Wolverine is supposed to be 5' 4" hairy and stocky. Add Jessica Alba as Sue Storm in FF4 as well. She's supposed to be Johnny Storm's sister not half blond, half latina, half sister. Oooooo! Might as well count Dolf Lundgren and Thomas Jane as The Punisher. Worst yet must be a skinny guy as Conan, Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor! That's like watching a bulky Nicolas Cage as a world record motorcycle stunt rider in Ghost Rider. Wrong physics!

Keanu in "Street Kings", actually kinna intense and scary, I was surprised.

-----Lol that is a great post! :b

Nicolas Cage in just about everything he's ever done. He's right up there up there with Jason Statham.

John Travolta as an Alien

Gary Oldman as Dracula (based only on looks alone)

Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu. I kept fearing he'd corner Darth Sidius and say "SAY WHAT AGAIN!"

Bruce Willis as the Jackal ( I think he and Gere should have switched roles)

---That's cool Jack.

Travolta as an alien you got that right lol! ...'Battlefield Earth'.
Travolta is totally out in several flicks, period! ...Best for him was 'Pulp Fiction'.

Willis is funny in the way he seems to always kiss the camera with the very tip of his lips!
He's totally out of the picture in several flicks! ...Just too many to mention ("I see dead people").
His best, the first 'Die Hard'.

Jackson is good, real good. ...Tough to miscast a guy like him.
...Except for 'Star Wars' (don't remember exactly which one; but that was Lucas' fault anyway).

Oldman, he's totally miscast in so many films that it is truly sad.
His best is probably 'Leon the Professional'.

Keitel is good, pretty good. Him and Jackson in the same flick is powerful!
...'Pulp Fiction'. Keitel like Jackson both excel in many films.

Gary Oldman as the alien villain Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg in The 5th Element is not a miscast, imo. :)
