New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Sir Charles is very critical of Simmons after the game and said you either have to win with him or he goes
sixers need a redo. Hate to beat a dead horse but get Doc upstairs and get a new coach. Doc kept Simmons in the game when he had stage fright and wouldn’t take a shot.
Well, if the choices are Thybulle, Maxey and Korrkmaz, he would still stay with the$30m man and hopes he delivers. ;)

I love listening to Shaq, Ernie, Kenny and Charles. Best analysts in the game. They skate nothing. They implied Doc didn’t make some better decisions. Hind sight however is so much better than foresight

Shaq very critical of Simmons.

Simmons says he let his team down and vows to be better and was asked if he liked playing in Phil’s. He says yes and plans on returning
A pro who cannot shoot at all virtually, in a league of shooters who shoots at mid court. GMs gotta figure that out.

Book's training is complete under CP Yoda. He now has the old master's elbow jumper to add to his on ball repertoire. I'll take this young Master Jedi over Luka because he's better off ball and thus gives the coach more rotation flexibility.

Next year the other young guns return. Ja and Brooks, Murray, Trey but we must be on the lookout for SGA. Presti has got to many pics on a loaded draft not to make any moves.

Doc Rivers, Joel Embiid raise doubts about their confidence in Ben Simmons after Game 7 loss

I don't know the answer to that right now." -Doc Rivers after being asked if Ben Simmons could be a point guard on a championship team.

Doc Rivers' May 31 comments on Simmons after a Game 4 loss to the Washington Wizards in the first round.

“You want me to take Ben Simmons off the floor," Rivers said when asked if he would consider benching Simmons. "I will pass on that one. He’s pretty good. So I will pass on that suggestion."

Let Marv be Marv, stockings and all :)

I'm forever a fan as he made years of awful Knicks teams here in NY listenable if not actually watchable.

This came out as the top headline in my yahoo news feed.

76ers need to trade Ben Simmons if they want to seriously contend for a title

I can't disagree with that however I would also add "76's need a New Coach If They want to seriously contend for a title."

Simmons sucked in every series these playoffs. Doc did nothing. You guys can say what you want. I like Doc but I have felt for years he is over the hill and the good years are behind him. He has said openly that he only wants to coach a seasoned team rather than a bunch of young kids

I would start spring cleaning at the top and kick Doc upstairs to an admin position and find a coach who has the ability and desire to work with these young stars.

Doc had no answer for Nate McMillan yesterday

If Celtics fans thought Kemba's contract was hard to trade, here's Ben's:

Signed through the next FOUR years ending in a whopping $40m, and no player's or team option at that. A local Celtic fan told me he would trade out Kemba for nothing in exchange when I lamented that they only got Horford and Moses Brown. And I hate to think of whatever trade value Simmons can have in the NBA.

as Sir Charles said in the post game, he would have a sit down with Ben and mandate what he needs to correct. If he is unable he needs to go.

Let's face it, Simmons failures sure counted in the game but to me the decisions fall with the coach and Doc IMO was wrong in his not benching Simmons

I like Nate McMillan and hope the team ownership makes him Head Coach. He was terrific in the huddles talking with composure to these kids whereas Doc was once again yelling with his strained voice at his players. Doc is far from an inspirational coach IMHO

Well, Steve, kicking Doc upstairs will be a tall order as on top of him are Daryl Morey (Head of Basketball Operations) who just recently came from Houston, and GM Elton Brand; plus the fact the either one of them hired and signed Doc for a 5 years $40m contract that started this season. :) He made it clear he doesn't want to coach young kids that is why he reneged on his contract with the Celtics and Ainge let him go to the Clippers. What he is so far is that he still has a good win-loss record as a coach but never to bring his team to the title again (as of this year). I can't really see how Nate McMillan's brilliance was in the last game as Trey Young was having a horrible night in shooting percentage only to be bailed out by Gallinari's 3 point exploits, Huerter's clutch shots and finally Trey's long 3, which is not even a called for high percentage shot. All told, Nate could have looked really bad had Simmons scored 8 more points than he did. :D And for the record, Nate had been a head coach for 20 years, with 3 teams and none of them really prospered for him to be well known, until last night. :)

The bad news then, for the Sixers is that Doc and Ben each has 4 more years remaining in their contracts, assuming both are to be blamed for this season's playoff woes.

Putting aside the playoff success, just to take over and completely turn a team around mid-season is a huge accomplishment. Hard to see how they don't make McMillan the HC. Indiana hasn't been the same since he left.

That elbow jumper should be renamed in honor of CP3. He's been deadly from that spot for many years.

No games today....suffering from withdrawal symptoms. :)
Maybe we should talk about the players of the 70s, how 'sturdy' they were, iron men playing through year after year without ACLs, Achilles, or some nerve wracking leg breaks. :) Perhaps all these ankle breaker moves by todays stars caused the dribbler too much strain on themselves? :)

I have always liked CP3 from the start. Impressive talents for a small guy and that is not common in the NBA. I can only think now of Tiny Archibald, the 2 ITs, and Allen Iverson as the really good small guards. And only 1 of them has won a title.

Kawhi is definitely out for tomorrow's game.

Marcus Morris may be out as well.

The Suns good fortune in the playoffs continues.

Bad news. Next man up. Maybe Cousins.
