We were originally planning to go to tonight's Clippers-Suns game in Phoenix. Due to Covid concerns and the Omicron variant we decided not to go.
The game may not even be competitive with 6 Clippers definitely out for the game and two more who may also be held out.

What a game at the Garden Celtics vs Knicks
When I turned it on in the 3rd the Celtics were up 20 and the Knicks have come roaring back to tie and take the lead

I actually felt they were going to give up that big lead. Happened many times. And when you are seeing one Fournier, who scored 0 points in the last game and was bench in the 4th that game, doing 41 points mostly on 3s, you know that there's nothing much to do to get a win. And that banked contested shot was really how the locomotive flows. I expected this. Udoka do not have set plays after time outs and all the C's did was to shoot 3s when they're open. I don't know what Smart always stands at the 3 line when he never was a top % 3 ball shooter. They really deserve to lose, and are now officially in the lottery group. The Silver Lining. Brad has to fire Udoka and hire his former assistants, that's the least he can do to change something. This team has talents but are all loose cannons.
And the benching of a $35m man Kemba Walker is even more puzzling as he has scored big points when they were out of players due to protocol. It's just that Thibs don't want to start him as he has 3 young guard on the starting 5, and Kemba stuck his foot out by saying he won't play if he's not a starter. One for the books. These things don't happen to cheaper team players in the 80s and 90s. I am getting to see the correlation of big money vs performance/attitude.
Just saw a State Farm ad with Boban Marjanovi?. Loved the guy when he was with the Clippers and still like to watch him today with the Mavs. He's a 7'4" gentle giant who can stuff without even jumping.

Itt's been their dream to play in the NBA so a lot of these G-league players are making an all out effort
I can understand the Clippers losing without their 2 main cogs. What is puzzling is when you have your all- stars and still keep losing being they are just being told to shoot and shoot no matter what. That's Brown and Tatum. Smart, by now, I consider should be a trading piece for a true point maker.
Bucks vs Nets and Kyrie cannot play in NYC. Fast forward to an ECF, he would only be playing 3 or 4 games. If 4 are on the road, it will help the Nets, a rare road 'advantage'.

His case reminds me a bit of Hayward's in Boston. I felt the pain of seeing him out the first year and followed his rehab week by week. It's agonizing and I know how Warriors fan feel about Klay. He's a gentleman player and a true sportsman and professional. I have all admiration for him.But this is finally what I have been waiting for. I hope he has a stellar rest of the season. Sometimes these long absences result in problems with the rotations etc
