New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

My birthday tomorrow. My son got court side seats right by the Lakers bench for me and him tomorrow vs Kings. Look for us on TV :)

Happy Birthday Steve and what a nice birthday present. :)

terrible news for basketball fans. such a hard worker and passionate player, so to see him take another step back. :(

the way rose moves really get him close to these types of injuries. i think this was mentioned in this thread before. i saw him running and bending real low with bent knees and it was like an injury waiting to happen. but that's his style.

Derrick Rose sidelined after MRI reveals torn meniscus; return unclear

Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose will have surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee and could miss the remainder of the season.

The Bulls announced Rose will be out indefinitely after he had an MRI Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles that revealed a tear to his right medial meniscus.

If Rose decides to reattach the meniscus – usually the route taken by young players – he's expected to miss the rest of the regular season. To clip off the meniscus is a riskier long-term issue, but could have Rose back in one to two months.

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook suffered a torn right lateral meniscus in the Western Conference playoffs in April, and had the procedure to reattach it. He finally returned early this season.

Rose told people on Friday night the injury didn't feel like the anterior cruciate ligament tear of two years ago, but knew he had a damaged knee, a source told Yahoo Sports.

After missing the entire 2012-13 season rehabilitating the ACL tear in his left knee, Rose had returned this season with a determination to restore the form that made him the youngest NBA MVP in history in 2011. Eleven games into the Bulls' season, Rose's performance had still been largely uneven and inconsistent.

Rose suffered the injury on a non-contact play against the Portland Trail Blazers in the third quarter of the Bulls' 98-95 loss. He left the arena on crutches and flew to Los Angeles with the Bulls on Friday night.

Rose has averaged 15.8 points in his 11 games this season. Chicago has played inconsistent basketball, holding onto a 6-5 record. Rose tore his ACL in the first round of the 2012 playoffs and needed a full year to fully come back.

:(

I was so looking forward to a Pacers/Bulls season long Central Division war. No fun if any of the two teams are handicapped.

Advanced Happy Birthday Stevie!

Clippers play the Bulls today at Staples.

Sad to see the injury to Rose.

Would have been interesting to see he and CP3 go head to head.

The Atlantic Division is a bit comical as of now. The 'leader', Toronto, has a losing record. And surprisingly, the competition for Boston's lottery ticket just got crowded with the entry of the 2 NY teams. It will be a bit strange if by season's end the Atlantic Division champion sports a losing record and enters the playoffs.

In the entire Eastern Conference only 3 of 15 teams have a winning record thus far.

that's even more amazing.whatever happened to the beasts in the east.

It's a toss-up. Maybe Woodson. Kidd can argue he's got Brook, Deron, and Kirilenko injured. But then again, he should be getting the boot anyway.

Great game tonight watching the Lakers sitting courtside with my son. We sat right behind Floyd Merriwether and his entourage

fantastic birthday celebration as your Lakers won too. looks like L.A. found a good one in Henry. when Kobe returns things might be even better.

Oh was thinking East in general. Yes, would have to be Woodson; Prokhorov has too much invested in Kidd and would end up with egg on his face. Woodson is far more disposable. Bring back Isiah-not!
