New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Kevin Love, who is still rehabbing his injured shoulder, has decided to opt out of his fourth-year and will test free agency, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.

KEVIN LOVE OPTS OUT

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in for an interesting offseason, as there is the possibility that ten of their players will be free agents. At the beginning of the week, they were waiting on three important decisions. Kevin Love had until Friday, J.R. Smith has until today — with previous reports claiming he will — and LeBron James has until Monday to opt out of their contracts.

Obviously, Cleveland’s number one priority will be re-signing James when he likely opts out, but Kevin Love has to be a close second. By Love opting out of his contract, he is forgoing $16.7 million for 2015-16 and $17.6 million for the 2016-17 season. Now, there will be several teams in the running, with Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers very interested, according to ESPN. So the Cavs will certainly have competition.

Despite having a very bumpy year in Cleveland — 16.4 PPG and 9.7 RPG were his lowest numbers since entering the league — Love is still a premiere talent. However, his commitment to the Cavs was constantly being questioned last year, with many people claiming that LeBron and Love did not have the best relationship. Who can forget LeBron James’ cryptic tweet during the season?

It depends on whether James gets nightmares of the present situation, like losing to the lottery bound Nets the other night. He'd like to form a super team on day, and he should buy a team so he can do that - be the owner, GM and coach and player, and win a title. Jordan hasn't even come close as owner. James got this love affair it seems with his off court buddies, specially Wade, taking long chats with him at halftime instead of doing warm up shot.

As for Love, I feel he should find a team that 'fits' him and need him. He needs to do better than his Minnesota days like KG did when he left for Boston.

Was watching the GSW games vs Dallas. Fell asleep while watching Curry making impossible shots look routines... At halftime, there were Filipino dances and it looks like they were celebrating Filipino month... happy whatever to our Filipino friends at WBF

That's cool, Frantz. I just saw the beginning of that game and had to leave. Would have loved to see the halftime show.

128-120 Warriors in case you didn't see the end

BTW, I just looked and saw the Lakers are 50 games behind GSW

:D

For how long we Lakers fans will endure those losing ways?

Clippers vs Celtics tonight at Staples in LA. Should be a good game.

Blake Griffin has been cleared to play from his injury but now must serve his 4 game suspension for fisticuffs (idiocy). Won't play until 4/5/16 vs Lakers I believe.

Correction - Blake is back on 4/3 vs Wizards.

Things can't get much worse in Laker Land.........

Reports: Russell losing teammate support after video emerges — This hasn’t been the easiest season for Los Angeles Lakers rookie D’Angelo Russell, as the No. 2 pick in the 2015 Draft has been criticized often by coach Byron Scott for his play. The latest issue Russell has to deal with is one that is reportedly affecting him off the court. According to ESPN.com’s Baxter Holmes and Marc Stein, Russell is being ostracized by Lakers teammates after a private conversation he and teammate Nick Young had emerged recently on social media:
Sources told ESPN.com that some teammates’ trust in Russell is eroding after a video surfaced in the past week that shows Russell recording a private conversation between himself and teammate Nick Young. Young does not appear to realize he is being taped.
The video, which is believed to have come to light last week via the Twitter account of a celebrity gossip site, shows Russell filming Young while asking questions about Young being with other women. Young got engaged to Australian rapper Iggy Azalea last summer.
While it’s unclear how the video became public, sources say the resulting tension in the Lakers’ locker room in recent days was among the factors that contributed to L.A.’s limp showing in Salt Lake City on Monday night, when they absorbed a 48-point pounding from the Utah Jazz. The loss was the Lakers’ worst in franchise history.

“Right now,” one source said, “they’re handling it by isolating him.”
Austin Brown, Russell’s agent from Creative Artists Agency, declined to comment when reached Tuesday.
Said one team insider: “This was a prank gone wrong and a mistake by [Russell], and he has to be held accountable, but I would hope he isn’t overly criticized for it.”
The emergence of the video, sources said, has been the talk of the locker room for the past several days and has led to a tangible strain between Russell and some teammates.
At a recent breakfast meeting, one source said, no Laker would sit with Russell at his table. The source added that, in another instance, Russell came into the locker room and sat next to guard Lou Williams, who got up and walked away.
“It’s bad,” one team source told ESPN.com’s Ramona Shelburne. “It’s about as bad as it can get. There were trust issues already. Now there’s no trust.”

In the video, Russell asks Young at one point, “You was 30 and she was 19?” referencing Young’s age and the age of another woman that Young said that he met in a nightclub.
“What about Amber Rose?” Russell later says, mentioning another celebrity.
“No, she knows my girl,” Young is recorded as saying.
Later in the conversation, while apparently still recording, Russell is heard telling Young, “I’m glad you told my video all that.”
“Huh?” Young says, turning his face toward Russell before the video cuts off.

Clippers should take Kyrie Irving in trade for Chris Paul from LeBron.

Chris has a shot at a championship with his buds and Clippers get a good PG 6 or 7 years younger.

LeBron can still have his wrestling match with McMahon!

In the meantime, Clippers are at the Timberwolves tonight. Game starts in about an hour.

Clippers have a good shot when Blake returns. Looks like Jeff Green is contributing.

We shall see how long it takes Blake to get his game back.

Green was very inconsistent at first - just like you said. He has been playing better of late. Hope he keeps it up.

Clippers played OKC tonight in OKC. CP3, D'Andre and JJ Redick all sat out the game to rest. Doc thinks he's Pop now. :)

I thought the Clippers would get killed. Didn't start watching until the start of the 2nd half. They darn near won the game, losing in the last seconds 119 - 117.

Austin Rivers had the game of his life, scoring 32 points. Jamal Crawford had 32 as well.

Darn shame the backups lost but they played one heck of a game.

Well, we just ended the Champions home winning streak. The rebuild is complete. On with the playoffs! With our wide array of guards, we limited Curry to under 50 points. :D And our own small version of Draymond Green is coming of age - take a bow, Jared Sullinger. :D
