New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Good to see the Lakers lead by example

The Knicks practice facility was just shut down as 3 team personnel tested positive

No fans at Los Angeles Lakers' home games until further notice

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Lakers won't have fans at Staples Center during the upcoming regular season until further notice.

The NBA champions made the long-expected decision official Tuesday for the new season, which will begin Dec. 22.

The Lakers also apparently don't plan to hang their 17th title banner until fans are in the stands to celebrate the moment with them.

"We appreciate your continued support and look forward to coming together, when it is safe to do so, to celebrate the raising of our banner and the quest for another NBA championship," the team said in a statement.

The Lakers said they are following the guidance of state and local health officials in planning to move forward without fans in the stands at their downtown arena. They intend to continue working on a plan to welcome fans whenever governments and the league allow it, but large gatherings are still banned in California under coronavirus restrictions.

The Lakers won the NBA Finals on Oct. 11 in the league's bubble at Walt Disney World in Florida, finishing off the Miami Heat in six games. Los Angeles spent three full months in the bubble, leaving just four weeks ago.

NBA training camps are expected to start around Dec. 1, putting the Lakers back into training seven weeks after their title-clinching victory.

When the free-agent signing period begins next week, the Lakers are widely expected to re-sign Anthony Davis for a second season alongside NBA Finals MVP LeBron James. Los Angeles faces several tougher roster decisions this month, including whether to retain Dwight Howard, Kentavious Caldwell-Popeand Markieff Morris.

I think the Knicks are the perfect landing spot for Westbrook. They need a star and there are no fit issues as they basically have no one other than maybe Barrett worth fitting with.

It all depends on if the Knicks wants to win now or build for the future with Barret and draftpicks.

Westbrook will make the Knicks relevant, and may even take them to the playoffs due to the weaker conference. Problem is, the Knicks might have to give up Barrett, draftpicks, plus others to match Westbrook's $40+ mils salary. Rockets will want value in return with the their new GM.

Knicks are pretty much incapable of getting out of win now mode or any long term thinking. Maybe Leon Rose will change that, we'll see.

Lakers may have a deal in place for Dennis Schroeder, who'd be a great pickup for them.

I like Dennis Schroeder.
He is able to create a momentum with his excellent passing but can also drive to the bucket himself

Like in the very old days with KD.
I fear this won't work anymore...
Especially NOT with Kyrie
Totally agree

I believe that just like CP3, Harden is not destined to win a ring

Looks like Chris Paul is going to the Suns. Woj reported it so it must be true.
And I read too that the Suns want to add free agents like Harell and Gallinari.

As for Harden wanting to join the Nets, maybe be got a call from KD.:D

They still only allow one basketball at a time so if KD and Kyrie are satisfied setting screens.......:)
Maybe each of the 3 will not play together for the first 3 quarters and then all in at the fourth. :D

I like Dallas and Denver this year . The west is going to be loaded with talent. The Suns finished strong in the bubble and the Warriors will be challenging in the West
