New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Funny how everyone says the right thing before the season starts.

"I'm in the best shape of my career!"
"Injuries are behind me!"
"I'm mentally and physically ready!"
"I love this organization!"
"I love this team!"
"I love my coaches!"
"I love this mix of teammates!"
"I'm super motivated!"
"We got the blueprint for winning basketball!"
"We are definitely going to the playoffs!"
"We can "definitely" win the championship(this one's for Steve :p )!"

Feel free to add.
I hope the Clipps up their game because not only do they need to play better to beat the Lakers but so also their are so many much improved teams that the Clipps will also need to be watching their backs

Listened to Woj's podcast today during my walk and he had Neil Olshey on, formerly of the Clippers and now GM of the Trailblazers.

He had some interesting comments about Carmelo Anthony - that he showed a lot of leadership for the team during the playoffs. I may have to retract some of my previousl negative comments about Carmelo.

It will be interesting to see what the Clippers do. They must be up to something but I have no idea what it might be.

Hard to believe the NBA is getting ready to start up again arfter such a short hiatus. Seems too soon to me so have to get myself back in the game...so to speak.

Serge Ibaka is a good add (but I didn't like him when he was with OKC) and Luke Kennard appears to be an upgrade at shooting guard presuming he's recovered from a serious knee injury.

Seems they need more help than that though

I saw that yesterday and thought this is going to be a very tough season for all teams. It is inevitable. The players by virtue of age fall low down on the tier as to when they qualify for the vaccine. The question will be how many of the 72 games will be played. So far they say they will postpone and reschedule rather than cancel

The Warriors were planning to play to a 50% filled arena and that was vetoed. Bottom line is no games will be played in front of the fans other than television.

Did I read that the finals will be played under the bubble or did I dream that?
I hope there is no more bubble. The sight of your home arena is a welcome sight. I can now understand Paul George's feeling when he said he felt 'dark' when he entered the bubble. It was really dark, literally. Watching some NFL Games, they seem normal enough to me, even with no fans. Hope each team gives out 'friendly memos' not to gather too much in nightouts. :D

I hope it works, but the season strikes me as nearly impossible to pull off. Both college and pro football are struggling w/only one game a week.

On another note, I've seen a few predictions of Andrew Wiggins winning the most improved award. He's certainly underachieved to this point.
Wiggins has to learn to be more 'nasty'. Can't be a smooth guy like Alex English or George Gervin anymore in this league. :)

The only problem with Melo is himself. He just didn't have that serious mentality in the court (save for that altercation with KG in the carpark in his NY days). Now he's fixing it.

First time to put on his Celtics Jersey and he said, it belongs. :D And boy, he can talk, he might even become a leader of sorts. :)

While not a fan anymore of Kyrie, he spoke his mind and facts support him, unlike the flat earth. :D

If I were Kyrie, I'd even add - if he's that great, why did he come to me in Cleveland? :D

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James knows a jab when he sees one. So, when Kyrie Irving implied Kevin Durant was the first clutch shooter Irving ever played with, James couldn’t help but feel hurt.

so they are shopping Harden after getting Wall for Westbrook . This will be interesting to see a Rocket blow up and Harden somewhere where he can chase a ring. Frankly I don't think that is ever going to happen with either him or Westbrook

Always a morning chuckle that I send Phil's way......

The King on his way to pressing off court duties. Nice car BTW. Is he a billionaire yet

Now isn't this an interesting read........

LeBron considers load management, maps future with Lakers

Though the league just announced this:

STEPH CURRY 'COMMITTED' TO FUTURE WITH WARRIORS

I sure hope this works out. One of the best and certainly one of the kindest players in the league....

Warriors were my team in the Lakers lean years. Steph gave me something to identify with. Im still shaking my head about Klay this year

Steph clearly remains the face of the Warriors
