New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Are you ready to rumble??

Game on

What a way to start
Clippers vs Lakers at Staples to an empty arena

Lakers resting James, Davis, Caldwell Pope and Morris and Gasol and playing their entire bench

Clippers playing PG and KL

Clippers 40-35 with 4:31 left in half

Harrell in a Lakers uniform is quite a sight . Man did he pound the Lakers last years.Interesting though it looks like he has lost at least 20 pounds
It was great to watch some basketball, even if it's just preseason. I said this last year(not here) and I'll say this again, I don't know why Larry Legend ever let Frank Vogel go.

Steve, I was wondering too.

Hmmm. Last week PG said he wanted to retire as a Clipper. And current Executive of the Year Lawrence Franks just made it happen. Maybe to entice Kawhi to lock in as well, as DIYhorn mentioned. $47.5m a year. That beats LeBron's $42.5m. :D
Add me to the chorus, choking in the playoffs seems the biggest of sins. Only justification I can think of is that superstars -- super or not -- are hard to come by. What's the Clips alternative? Doubt he would've signed a one year deal so they could shop for FAs next yr

Good luck, KD.

Nets' Kyrie Irving responds to receiving $25,000 fine for not speaking to media: 'I do not talk to pawns'

“I’ve had enough of someone else’s propaganda… I’m for truth, no matter who tells it. I’m for justice, no matter who it is for or against. I’m a human being first and foremost, and as such I’m for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole.”

Irving then continued by saying he is here for "Peace, Love and Greatness" and to stop distracting him and his team."

Maybe he can take over the moniker since Meta World Peace changed his name again. :D

Some good games tonight. The Warriors open with a 107-15 squeaker over the Nuggs and how about Dallas knocking off the Bucks 112-102

So many great teams this year makes for a fun few hours of basketball in an empty arena with canned fan applause

Utah also a big impressive win over the Suns

The season has begun with some good preseason games already

And looking at the schedule it seems Adam Silver is trying to make some statement with the Clippers again playing the Lakers at Staples tomorrow evening

"are you ready to rumble??????"

That was the ideal money making high TV ratings western finals that Silver planned last season. :D

And he's sounding off to the Clips to make it happen this season. :)

Stephen A. shocked Perkins calls Clippers 'softer than some hot Twinkies'

I'm not a Kendrick fan but this is a must. Is he onto something? I was frankly stunned last night when the Lakers bench beat a complete Clippers team where KL and PG were non factors

Gotta love Steph. I'm glad he's back...

Steph's tunnel shots are back, just from a different location

Curry imo is already a present day model of a franchise player in the mold of Magic, Bird, Jordan, and Duncan. Multiple titles and multiple League MVPs on the SAME team.

I feel the Clippers lack one or 2 more veteran role players, much like the Celtics. Doc is gone, so can't blame him now if they are soft. It's Lue's job, and Frank's and I believe the Logo is still up there as a consultant.

A few moments from the Time magazine cover, Chris Broussard calls LB's statement a subtle way of saying he is the GOAT. Stephen A, always blunt and direct, calls it 'one of the most ignorant statements that ever came of out LB's mouth".

Meanwhile, Gordon Hayward made a good debut with the Hornets, and this time he is healthy and he is the main man. Confident and lleading the pack. Jack, gotta hand it to you, you called it right the moment you said Tatum's arrival in Boston made Hayward redundant. There was a tug-o-war scenario between the 2 as they are very similar in their style of play and position. As I said, I was a fan of Hayward coming from Utah into Boston but the circumstance just didn't fit well and I still have respect for his play and wish him the best in his career.

Seemingly everyone is down on the Clipps. i'm not so sure about that. I will give two names that I feel confident will be much more known to the public by the end of this season. Terrence Mann and Daniel Oturu. Who? The guys the Logo stole off of the last two drafts. Expect Mann to play point at times and a big line up of Mann, PG, claw, Ibaka and OTuru at times. 6' 7" Mann can play the 1 and 2 and has size at 3. He, i predict will be their swiss army knife. Oturu is 6' 10' with a 7' 3" wingspan with great footwork on the block, has a handle and has major hops. If he can learn to be an efficient switch help defender at the rim watch out should he play the 5. His free throw percentage at 85 ish percent suggests he should develop range with at least "don't leave him open" efficiency. I'm confident they will develop because Coach Lue has no choice but to use them. SGA and Harrell are gone.

This is a roster where PG and Kawhi need less minutes on the floor together to be potent. A "small" lineup of Mann, Chicken Wings, PG and Claw at 3 and 4 and Oturu would be an open court nightmare for opponents. Heck give Batum some time at 5 even. Morris is slower. Makes me wonder how Lacob couldn't keep Jerry West who was the guiding hand in building the Dubs dynasty from the Draft.

I'm not sleeping on these guys even if my Western heart prays for Golden State's Oubre and more so Wiggins to finally breakout this year.
Jack, I'm gonna take note of Mann and Otutu 'who'. LOL And you were right too with Jerami Lamb.

But you have not outdone yourself in your 'what is a Mahinmi' quip a few years ago. :D Oh joyous moments then when guys like the little water bug Barea and oldie Jason Terry were killing the Heat. :D

100% agreement. I think he‘s hugely underrated as a leader.
