Kevin Durant pulled from game twice due to Health and Safety protocols

Durant was scratched from the starting lineup and came off the bench in the 1st quarter -- and was pulled again in the 3rd.

NBA.com media reports

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant was not available to start Friday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors due to Health and Safety protocols, the team announced just before tipoff.
Once cleared to play, Durant checked in with 4:13 left in the first quarter. It was his first career game coming off the bench.
Durant helped the Nets rally to take the lead before he was informed in the third quarter that he needed to exit the game. Replays showed coach Steve Nash appearing to give the news to Durant, who walked toward the locker room area and threw a water bottle in frustration. The Nets then announced he was out for the rest of the night due to Health and Safety protocols.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Durant had the fourth-longest streak of games started (866) before coming off the bench since 1970-71 (when starts were first tracked). Only Patrick Ewing (1,118), Carmelo Anthony (1,054) and Chris Paul (1,041) had longer streaks than Durant.
Durant finished with eight points. He had scored at least 20 points in all of his 17 games thus far, the longest streak to begin a season in his career.

Turned on that game late and was surprised he wasn't on the floor. Hope he's OK and also hope no other players were infected.

Now that is really really really weird protocol. How can they determine breach of protocol when he's already in the game?

Celtics smalls are playing. One just hit 2 straight 3 balls. Only a Celtic fan will know his name.

I just looked up the guy with yellow shoes wondering who that was. He's a rookie from Oregon Payton Pritchard.

Is that who you mean?

Luke Kennard is finally playing a quality game with 13 points in the first half and 3 for 3 from beyond the 3 point line

Just realized Jaylen Brown is out for the Celtics tonight. Hope he is OK
I learned that too during the game. Don't even know why.

Not quite. I was referring to Carson Edwards who is connecting. A real small guy, smaller than Kemba but a trigger man from the arc. Peyton just came back from a knee sprain, he's bigger, and has lots of promise for the Celtics.

I was looking for him. Wonder why he's out.

So far good shooting by the Clippers. Sloppy passing by the Celtics caused lots of turnovers. Brad experimenting, using 3 small guards, Kemba, Teague, and Carson.

Well, even the medium big, Grant Williams, hits a 3.

Lead of Clippers down to 1.

And Pritchard hits another 3. That's their secret. :)

And center Robert Williams, not known for shooting except dunks, hit a 15 footer. Stars are shining on the Celtics front.

Kemba is hot, too
Suddenly found his shot. This guy named Semi of the Celtics has missed so many open shots, so did Teague. This is the NBA, not college hoops, you can't miss open shots here.
