Celtics lost the 2nd of the back to back with Kemba resting - to the KINGS. Well, you can't complain if you lose to a team called Kings. Buddy Hield and Fox are great young guns.

I only wait for LeBJ to demand the Sacramento Kings to be renamed to Sacramento Princes because HE is the (self declared) KINGCeltics lost the 2nd of the back to back with Kemba resting - to the KINGS. That's a good one.Sacramento Princes
Also good oneLuke (Walton) will agree. He has the 'lightsaber'.
Yes, it is just you. Just kidding. Is it only my personal impression of Kawhi that lately he isn't the invincible weapon anymore that he used to be?
I mean he can still score points at will but he doesn't (at least for me) look as effortless and irresistible as he was before...

Your comment made me go back and check his statistics and they don't indicate any falloff in his performance. However, he is in his 10th year in the league so he has some wear and tear.

Familiarity does breed contempt as the old saying goes and I find myself sometimes expecting more from him than he produces. I certainly watch his play more now than I used to and I cringe at every missed shot and turnover.
The Clippers were definitely a disappointment in the playoffs last yeat - trust me I know - but so far this year they seem better to me. Time will tell.
He is an amazing player HOWEVER I agree with you.He gets the job done but not in the manner of years gone by. To my eyes, the leader of the Clipps is PG and not KLI didn't mean his statistics, they are obviously ok but he doesn't look as effortless and convincing as he used to...
But if it's only me, all the better
Interesting observation, Steve. He is an amazing player HOWEVER I agree with you.He gets the job done but not in the manner of years gone by. To my eyes, the leader of the Clipps is PG and not KL
Kawhi's deal will be up, PG13 signed a new 4 year deal. When you say decisions by Ballmer at season end..,..are both of their contracts up? Do they become FA's?
If the Clippers don't win a ring this year they might re-think the Kawhi situation, too.My belief is if KL doesn't win a ring this year he will consider his options at season's end. I still somehow don't believe he has allegiance to any team but rather will go where opportunity presents. I may be wrong because as the saying goes, "money talks and bull$hit walks"
There is still no doubt that both LA teams are powerhouses and are both at the top of the heap this year, yet somehow I still feel that there could be a surprise team emerge from the west (did anyone say Utah) and IMO there are teams in the East who match up very well with both LA teams.
They might both be at the top but I am not seeing the tenacity of either team when they play lesser teams. They develop a complacency and just coast with the thought that they will prevail and both relinquish big leads as a result, many of which has resulted in their losing these games
To me this speaks volumes about KL. He’s in it for the rings AND the money. Had he stayed with the Spurs I bet he’d have at least one moreLeonard and George only signed two year deals when they joined the Clippers and Kawhi declined a new contract in the short offseaon. PG13 signed on for 4 more years
That's true. Kawhi's star started to shine in that last title year of the Spurs, it was his redemption for missing a foul shot. Who knows what would have happened if that quad injury didn't drag Tony Parker and the Spur's medical team into the controversy. His legacy as the Terminator could hang on this season's results. If the Clippers don't win a ring this year they might re-think the Kawhi situation, too.
You can be as weird as you want when you win it all. Not so much when you don't.
The fact that he didn't sign a long term max contract with the Clippers says something as he's either betting he's going to be better in those 2 years and or win the ring which gives leverage. However OTOH he could be saying if it doesn't happen in 2 years as a Clipper then he's moving onThat's true. I can see he's in for the rings, Steve, but prior to signing with the Clips for $103m (3rd year opt out), Kawhi turned down a $221 supermax from the Spurs and $190m max from the Raptors for a chance to repeat. Apparently he saw his chances with PG greater. And wasn't he an FA-in-waiting too for the Lakers? For me, that would have been his sure fire 3rd ring with LeBron and AD in the bag. So the guy is weird, I agree. To me this speaks volumes about KL. He’s in it for the rings AND the money. Had he stayed with the Spurs I bet he’d have at least one more
