New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

The Suns have a poised swagger about themselves which I really Like. They exude confidence which TBH I am not seeing in any other team. This IMO all comes from Monty Williams who has these kids on a roll to destiny

Suns take a moment to indulge before setting sights on conference finals challenge

With an opponent still to be determined, the Suns must now navigate the beginning of the conference finals without Chris Paul.

Didn't Horford play for the Celts previously
Yes, Steve, for about 3-4 years actually. He was in the team of Irving, Hayward, Tatum and Brown. Even IT was still there when he was there. He wanted a longer contract, and OKC gave it to him, much like Hayward did with Charlotte. It's more a dumping of Walker, who's knee problem suddenly sprouted in his second year with the C's.

The first move of Pres of Basketball Ops Brad Stevens. And it really sounded like fake news to me at first, hoping it was. I hope Moses Brown is one of those Terence Mann types. :D

The Celtics are trading Kemba Walker, the No. 16 overall pick in the 2021 draft and a 2025 second-round draft pick to Oklahoma City for Al Horford, Moses Brown and a 2023 second-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

Sam Presti is a master of the trade market. Looks like he fleeced Brad in his first deal. Either that or the Celtics really hated Kemba. Perhaps Moses Brown is a budding super star but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Monty Williams is an excellent coach and easy to root for since he's been through so much adversity (his wife died in a car accident when he was with OKC).

The team has been out of the playoffs for 10 years so Phoenix fans deserve a good playoff run.

CP3 no doubt has earned a shot at the Finals in his long career

Of course I'll be rooting for the Clippers to continue to move along in the West. But, if they lose I would pull for the Suns, too.....unless Doc gets the 76ers to the Finals.

Then it would be tough for me to pick between the two.

Agreed but right now Doc has to win 2 games

So many lost loves in the past 4-5 years on the Celtics team. Phil I remember when you were enamored with Kemba

Kyrie is another

im blanking on the name of the next. (Old age) the great little point guard who was a phenom in his first year, got injured and multiple trades. He played briefly for the Lakers

Yes, I was. Smiling face, better locker room attitude than Kyrie. A guy who could score in the 20s in Charlotte. Was an All-Star in his first year with the Celtics. Then the unthinkables happened. Just like Kyrie , it didn't work out. To me , the biggest 'waste' was Kyrie. He wanted out of Cleveland himself. He was cheered in Boston and he took the mic and promised the crowd he will sign an extension. It's on records. But again, sh*t happened. In the midst of his flat earth beliefs , he got pissed at the young players for not making him the leader that he thought he would be in Boston. The rest is history, ending in a vengeful stomp of Lucky the logo in the TD Garden.

Yes, IT was great initially, but got into a nasty hip injury. Loved that guy but as they say, sports is a business.

Brad has his work cut our for him to find his next point guard.

Luka and the Mavs....

The inner dynamics of pro sports, can make or break a team. First time to see an internal issue (gambler who became a top adviser of Cuban) caused the firing it the team's GM, and then resulting in the resignation of the head coach, who had won them a title and is one of the best in the game. It will be simplistic to say Luka will follow, but, in this league, who knows.

57-41 Hawks at the half

Sixers hanging around but the Hawks seem to have the desire and the energy

Trae Young is amazing
And Trae Young is precisely why the Hawks are there , so near to the ECF. Who would have thought in the first half of the season?

Hawks have little pressure. And the Sixers are very pressured in the same way the Clippers were pressured with big name players. Hawks, to me are overachievers, in Bognan (was he that good as a Pacer), Huerter ( I only heard about him a few weeks ago) and a solid center in Capella. ( I cannot believe Ainge did not take him when available). Trey of course is the phenom, can torch opponents for 30-40 points, and right there, puts pressure on Embiid to match that score. As who else will score that much? Not Simmons, not Korkmaz. Harris can, but he doesn't do it consistently. So basically, the Hawks just need to beat Embiid. :)

If the Hawks advance and with the Suns in the WCF what I believe we are seeing is a transition of power in theNBA. Gone are the slow post up games with the Big making the dunk or a midrange jump shot

What I believe we are seeing is that the energy and grit of the teams seems to lie with those young gifted players
