New Speaker Transducer

It's not everyday that a new speaker transducer is invented. It uses a piezo electric effect to excite motion on a film, as opposed to using a magnetic field to vibrate a transducer. And it is 10x more efficient than traditional drivers.

Fascinating...by the sounds of it, these require 1/10th of the power of traditional speakers for the same sound pressure levels...so we are back to low-watt, single-ended triode tube amps!
