Hello All!!!
I am new to the hi-fi world!
I actually have a very unique path. I came to this forum as someone that was aware of the forum as a builder for a company that goes by something that is close to *on ******rt. Specfically the 2013-2015 vintage. ANYHOW....I come to this forum because I have switched careers and have been able to actually get amazing records slowly but surely. My first brilliant audiophile find was an 180 gram pressing of "Song for America" by Kansas that I gifted to my father for his birthday. Another was an 180 gram pressing of "Music for 18 Musicians" by Steve Reich. I find this recording to fill my soundstage quite well. HOWEVER, as a poor, starving student. I can only afford audio in such modest accommodations. I have an incredible Audio-Technica turntable and a pair of speakers of my own design being ran by a vintage pioneer combo amp. While this is modest compared to what I have heard at my previous company...I am quite honored and love to enjoy the music on this modest setup. Nothing sounds better than running "Close to the Edge" on a system you designed!!!!! I am forever humbled by the efforts of *on ******rt and I can only hope to do well enough in my career to afford those beautiful speakers I used to ship off. HELLO ALL!

Welcome to the forum @ZimRay2007. It's great to see your enthusiasm for music and good vinyl pressings! You can get a lot of pleasure from a fairly modest setup. I owned my first full size system for 18 years which included Infinity Reference 60 speakers, a Nakamichi Integrated One, JVC XL-Z1050 cdp, Technics RS-BX828 cassette deck & Cambridge Audio T-500 tuner. No vinyl, but that system brought me a lot of joy & I just focussed on buying cd's & listening to music :).
