Hello Guys,

I just picked up a Wadia 170i. I am looking at picking up an external DAC, looking at the Dacmagic 100 or MF V90. My noob question is this, the back of the Wadia has a digital out (orange), but I don't see any orange inputs on the back of those two DAC's. If I get the V90, would it go into the Coaxial input? If I get the Dacmagic 100, would it go into the S/P Dif 1 input?

Also, what cable do I need to connect those the wadis and the external DAC.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

The Wadia has an RCA digital out. The color is so that it does not get confused with L/R RCA analog outputs, white and red. You need to use a digital cable with an RCA connector on the Wadia side, and whatever digital input is on those DACs. Most likely it will also be an RCA connector. However, when I used my Wadia with a Benchmark DAC1 I needed a cable with a BNC connector for it.
