Electrical power supply-pulling it all together

Greetings all,
I've been reading the threads on power supply. Picking up valuable information but it feels incomplete so I'm looking for help pulling it all together. It would be great if we could turn this into something like a tutorial maybe?
2 years ago I had 6 dedicated lines installed (I had 4 in my old house for a long time). Never then did I think I would end up with APEX monos which now take up 4 of those dedicated lines. So now I'm rethinking this whole thing.
I'd like to start with the power coming into the house.
1) What about a surge suppressor/noise filter. What kind of measurements should my electrician do on the incoming power? Maybe it's so clean it doesn't need anything else (yeah, right). I think it is Charles who is using a Transguard Tg60. This (or something similar or not similar) makes more sense to me than a high dollar (fancy box etc) power conditioner (it would also be better for the rest of the house-appliances etc.). I assume this would be inline before the main panel. Looking for recommendations for what to use. Brand/model number.
2) What is best for a great ground for the main panel? Thicker than "normal" gauge wire to the ground pipe? Longer than normal ground pipe? Multiple ground pipes? Anything else?
3) Subpanel. I'd like to do a stereo system only sub panel. I should have better notes but I think there was a recommendation of maybe Eaton? Because it had copper bars. Is there a recommendation for a sub panel (make/model) and breakers?
4) Should each component have its own dedicated line? For example, in reading about the Varese (no I don't have one), it is 5 boxes. Would you run a dedicated line to each box? Would a dedicated line to each box using the "cheap" power chords that come with it be better than all 5 on a single circuit with expensive power chords? And this is only a semi serious question but why not attach the dedicated line directly to the female plug at the back of the amp or any other component and avoid having a power cable at all? Yeah, I know the Romex is not flexible but that could be worked around. And I'm sure that would not be code but I'm just asking in theory.
5) Going back to the monos someone suggested 6 or 8 gauge wire instead of 10. I could see this if all 4 power chords were on one circuit but is this necessary when each of the 4 has its own line? And with a sub panel I can get within 15 or 20 feet of wire to the amps. So what gauge for the dedicated lines?
6) Outlets. Are Furitechs worth it? I've used regular "hospital" grade in the past. What others would be recommended?
7) Or do I just pull the thread and call Kingrex, LOL.

Cheers! and thank you for indulging me.
Bob

PS Eichmann uses a larger gauge return in their cables that they claim make them "faster". There was, I think , a reference to using larger gauge return in one of the threads? Just BS or something to it?

May I ask what size is the feeder for your sub panel and it's distance ?
are the amps 120 volt or 230 volt ?
I'm curious I think amps at 230 volt is beneficial .

I have not done the sub panel yet but it would be 10 to 15 of wire to the sub panel from the main panel. I can do whatever wire I need to. The access is really good (read easy). The APEX are 120 volt as are all the other components. Another 5 to 15 feet of wire from sub panel to the wall outlets for the components (some components may be on the right side of the room closer to where the sub panel would be. Amps are in the middle of speakers.
