Hi,
First post newb here. I'm just entering the audio world and here is my ProJect based setup: BT Box S2 HD -> 2x "Connect It D RCA" cables -> Amp Box DS2 -> a pair of 5 m Dynavox speaker cables -> a pair of Speaker Box 5
My issue is that as soon as I turn on the BT Box S2 HD, first a digital whine is introduced in the speakers and after pairing a loud massive static hiss starts. Music will play, however though the hiss. When turning on only the Amp Box, no noise is present. Noise only appears when turning on the BT Box.
I've made sure all the connections are true and I ran the BT Box off of a battery power bank to isolate any power noise to no avail. Touching the cables or the BT antenna in no way modulates the character of the hiss, which leads me away from EMI or bad ground related issues. What is up here? My understanding is that the BT box has an audio output and the amplifier has an audio input. Am I missing a preamp in between? In any case... should work without, right?
