Roman Bessnow on “How to listen High-End Audio results over YouTube”

The subject would be how properly audition really serious high-end audio equipment through YouTube. How to make objective judgment and how to make it absolutely certain evaluation of the quality of sound you hear.

If you are ready [to take notes on my checklist on how to use YouTube videos for evaluation] then you are among all colloquialisms that I might use I would suggest I would attach colloquialism that you are a f*#king idiot if you do.

There is absolutely no way to make any objective or subjective of approximate judgment about performance of the playback over YouTube video. . . . The fact that you even try to make this judgment is indication that something severely I would say mentally or psychologically but something very corrupted in your objective and understanding of what is high-end audio is all about.

I have found an important topic on which I agree fully with Roman!

Could this not be part of that 5 year long thread you were running?

For the same reason I do not call you bonzo75: fake second names for internet forum posters is a stupid custom.

Do you think it’s possible both of you agree because videos from both your systems do not sound good enough?

Here is the reference Ron fails to provide:

Romy can be amusing to read but nearly impossible to follow when he speaks thanks to a total lack of verbal punctuation. I read through the auto-generated transcript (which had as hard a time understanding him as I did) and the closest thing I could find (across 20 minutes of video) to a reason for his claim that evaluating an audio system via a Youtube video is the province of idiots is: phones introduce dynamic compression.

Ok so another thread that's a waste of time

Actually this characterization is misleading. Roman says, without qualification, baldly and broadly that the video thing makes no sense to him.

Around the six minute mark he says something to the effect that "l could end this video now, but I'll ramble on." He then mentions dynamic compression. Tim's post is misleading because it suggests that Roman's objection to videos is based on dynamic compression of smart phones. In fact, Roman's objection to videos is not limited to, or based on, dynamic compression.

You characterize it as a "waste of time" only because you disagree with it.

No because you can start a thread with subject of each random person who agrees with you on some topic. All of us can.

Saying "the video thing makes no sense to him." is not an argument. At best it it is the flimsiest of "reasons" and unsatisfactory for labeling people who use videos for evaluation as "f*cking idiots."

You don't deny that Romy cites dynamic compression by a phone as a reason he thinks phone videos are wrong. Claiming my post is misleading is simple misdirection and does nothing to bolster what you say.

Sorry Ron, your effort to denigrate video users has fallen flat on its face. Romy is, like you, just trying to get attention.

Your argument is with Roman, not me. You'll have to take his statements up with him.

Saying that Roman's patently broad rejection of videos is based on dynamic compression is misleading. You can't wriggle off that hook.

All I did was transcribe verbatim Roman's statements.

Now you are picking up Kedar's silly and weak comment that any disagreement with you is nothing but "trying to get attention"?

Again, you'll have to take your disagreement up with Roman.
