Sablon Evo interconnects

Am going to give these a whirl tomorrow for a customer with an MSB dac, whose xlr jacks are mounted too close for comfort for my usual Bocchino plugs. The finish looks lovely and they have my preferred set screw mounting but space at rear of barrel is tighter than I would have liked.

That mirrored my experience as well. The set screws, fit and finish were nice. The clamping mechanism is decent, probably better than comparable XLR connectors like ETI -- I just wish it wasn't inherently single-use from needing to be crimped. The back opening is a fine size for terminating most bulk cable, but I'd agree that for custom cables it gets a bit tight. I haven't done any A/B comparisons using the same cable & different connectors, so no comments on sound quality other than that I feel no urge to switch to anything else.

How do these Furutech compare sonically?

Right now I am in the process of integrating several more Sablon cables in my Stereo.
First step was a short XLR from DAC to preamp.
It replaced a NBS monitor 1 XLR.

I am floored.
Organic, simply natural, vast extension of frequency ends, much more fine dynamic nuance, expression.
Looking forward to more of these cables …

Reactions: Sablon Audio
Some months ago I bought Accuphase separates to replace my Accuphase E-650. To connect them I used an old xlr cable I bought a while back just in case I needed one.;-) It sounded fine but since I had the Sablon Evo xlr from my Baltic 4 dac and was very happy with that I of course wanted one to connect my separates as well. Immediately when connected everything just bloomed and just got better and better during the breaking in. I compared a lot of interconnects before buying my first Sablon Evo xlr and to me none of them even came close! If you never tried Sablon in your system you really should!
