15 years ago this speed would have cost you $5000 or more a month.. It is down to $53.. While this is not enough for BluRay rate , yet, it may work with some buffering, assuming the speed to be consistent... I have no doubt that within a few more years, the speed will increase while the price will drop... We are getting there John and look at it this way. Your present speed allows DVD quality with no problems and would you to transfer a Redbook CD in less than 5 mins... As I told you earlier ... We are getting there and fast :)

I wish we were getting there as fast from this part of the world. Sadly, I don't see the telcos laying down fiber and the vast majority is running through aged copper telephony and cable networks. :(
