Ever hear of infosurgents?
If you get a chance to hear Michael Dobbs lecture, do so. I missed the U of M Marsh lecture but have been watching it on cable.
From what he is saying the old days of compact cassettes used by Polish workers under communism and by Iatola Komani while in France to get out his message may have been more effective than communication methods today (Internet).
Oppressive regimes today are using the Internet against dissidents to identify them and monitor them much like George Orwell's Big Brother.
Interesting stuff, but I have been unable to find the lecture on-line. I'll post it should I come across it.
