Hello everyone,
Greetings from Morocco

I've recently come across an old Home teather system (Samsung HT-DT79) and some speakers (PS-FDT79) attached below are some pictures. I have tested and found that all of the speakers work just fine delivering great sound, The only problem i have is that i cannot recognize the connectors for these speakers to the Home theater itself and i was wondering is there was a way to connect these speakers on their own to my computer using some sort of jack adaptor.

If you can please help me it would be greatly appreciated, i am a complete newbie when it comes to audio hardware and any insight no matter how small would be of great benefit!

Thank you!142436934_444051107005329_6383020974625737138_n.jpg

You will need an amp hooked to your computer to power the speakers.. according to your picture it looks like the unit is expecting a three ohm load from the speakers. you should be able to take the line output from your PC and plug it into the home theater receiver and use it that way if the receiver is working? Otherwise you will need an amplifier to match the speakers. You can either control the volume through the operating system or use a preamp. You might have to use bare wire and cut off those connectors or some sort of adapter.. if Im understanding your post correctly..

The unit is working perfectly fine, so i could just run rca cable from my pc to the unit and it would work without having to do any tweaking ?

Yes.. An AUX input to match line level is all you need from your PC audio out..
You can also use your PC to control the volume as well, or just use the HT receiver..
Good luck!
