Videos of Acoustically-Coupled Audio Recordings

I agree your video has more life to it but you are kinda cheating by remastering the track.
On the other hand, most videos of digital playback here sound lifeless to me so it's not always the original recording that's at fault.

I’m glad that you brought this up.Regardless of system, and their make-up, the only thing to judge is the resultant sound. Do you think MikeL and AudioCrack purchased the WADAX combo to have their systems sound like everyone else. What do you think that those rewiring the electrical delivery to their systems or using a hundred thousand dollar grounding boxes are after? Everyone is looking for the edge and how to get the most out of their system and since this is not a regulated hobby, everyone is free to use their intelligence to get the most out of their system.

By the way, you do a lot of posting on here and last I understood your main listing system is your laptop. You should try HQPLAYER and get the most out of it. Get in the game.

Thanks, but as I said I am not looking for affirmation...

If I want a different sound, I change speakers. Each speaker has its limitations, and remastering is not going to change that!

Don’t underestimate the power of system remastering. It is the single most impactful thing that I have found in this hobby. It can elevate capable systems to heights not previously fathomed.

Or it can produce anemic vocals and bloated bass, as in your video :) Could be the recording, of course. I would have to listen "live".

See here is the thing. The sound that you hear on my system-Remastered videos is the sound that “I” enjoy. The beautiful thing is that the exact same equipment and process can be dialed in to produce the sound and sound presentation that “you” enjoy. If you like innovative thinking and know how then you should admire and respect this unique approach. It is a lot more effective than the traditional trial and error approach.

I am glad we both enjoy our systems.

The difficulty I see in your approach is that you ONLY post videos (which I am afraid have never been convincing, to me - but they are "only" videos). You have a custom process, but actually never provide the details that would enable anyone here to reproduce it. It is as if you don't want anyone to understand it, or copy it, and you are only looking for the approval. What is the point of that? Just to show off? Knowledge is meant to be shared.

How can you say that with a straight face after the system video that you posted?

As Peter mentioned, my other systems don’t have the system-Remastering process implemented and they also sound great. The common thread is my in-depth knowledge & understanding of the elements at work in sound reproduction, and technical capabilities to make my desired adjustments happen, through a number of different approaches. See you can not beat or buy knowledge, and that is what I bring to the table.

Please tell me where there is a detailed description of your set up and the algorithms you use in your "remastering process" (not that I am interested, but perhaps others?). You have a big mouth, but very little comes out of it outside of self-adulation.

How anyone can hope to reproduce this based on that list is beyond me.

If you are so convinced that this is the pinacle in sound reproduction, and you think that videos are going to convince people, then you are in for a lot of disappointment.

You should either invite people to your home, and have them provide their feedback, or publish a detailed description so that people could try. As it is now, I don't see how that is possible.

You should not post for acceptance or validation. You should post what you are proud of having achieved. I have actually implemented corrective action based on comments that I received so I’m not arrogant to not listen to what others have to say. If you are looking for affirmation then perhaps speaking with a professional with a couch might be more effective and beneficial.
Do you think if someone posts a video but then is too thin skinned to take criticism is really in need of psychiatric help or are you just winding him up?

It is pretty clear to me. This is a pretty heady approach and not something that you implement like a cooking recipe. You need to know about acoustics, psychoacoustics, and sound reproduction theory, concepts and technologies to be able to effectively implement the process and techniques described. Sorry it is not for everyone. You have to know your stuff to take things to the level that I have.

Hopkins comes across as argumentative. You approach people like that with facts and expose the fallacies in their arguments.

Well clearly, at this point, you are the only one to know and to have ever implemented this. So what are you expecting? That someone is going to listen to your video and reach out to the guru ?

I have made similar comments before about his videos and methodology. This is not really new...

Well, I have demonstrated that I can surgically make changes. I would love to discuss the process with others that posses the understanding required.

You are contradicting yourself. Is my approach not new or is it innovative, in your view?

Invite people over, and let them give their opinion on the results you have achieved. Or publish a detailed description of your solution, and share it with those people you think are smart enough to understand.

As I have stated in the past, I don't find your videos convincing - this is has nothing to do with your comments on mine which you only made today.

There is probably a limit to what videos can accomplish. And just saying "I'm happy" or "it sounds great" is not enough.

If you don't want to end up frustrated - which you already seem to be - you need to consider other ways of communication and sharing.

I’m not frustrated at all but truth be told, I rather be listening to music than typing responses on here.
