I think I was clear on MY motive, I'm going to make sure me and my buddies spread the word. It is working just fine. Like I said if, Forums and manufactures think there is NOT a consequence for bad behavior and silencing the members, Man oh man are they wrong. When they AG apologize publicly, we'll see if the picket will end. MAYBE..
AG staff erasing the bad review at AG about Viking, how is that NOT related? The fact is that they DO and WILL erase negative feedback. Do you pay attention at all. I have a reason. You sir do not. You have an "Ignore button" use it. Viking, AG and the few poster have an idea that all is well that erases well.
I'm not the one that verbally black listed them through every union in the country. THEY managed that all on their own in 2021.

Every seller with 100% or ZERO feed back, how is that?

Give the guy his money back and a NEW pair of perfect speakers.. Simple fix.. Viking wake the F___ UP!

At this point I would love to hire Viking, just so I could FIRE them. :) No upfront money for that bunch.

Go OP go!!! I'll send another letter via snail mail, that will make 3. Best of luck..

AG they just get the dead rat in the shoe box. He got erased.. LOL

Because that has nothing to do with the OP’s thread or indeed this forum! It is crystal clear that you are merely hitching a ride on this thread in order to air your personal grievance against that particular forum, let me take a wild guess … you have recently been banned from the forum that you vent your spleen against.

I appreciate your interest in me, but I'm taken. I'd also appreciate if you would stay on topic and keep up. This thread is about getting the guys money back and who is helping and who is not.. Does that help at all?

As for AG I'll put it to rest.

I released AG in November because they banned over 10 members. If you ask where is Rodger rabbit, they would erase that too. Strange? As a result in feb or mar, I reminded THEM I needed to remove my copyrighted material and to QUIT billing my CC. Sometime in the recent past MC and a few others from the old site told me I was Banned. I was heartbroken! It took FOUR months for their staff to read my "Pull the plug" messages from January. I think 5 times or so.. :)

I was overseas for 8-9 weeks. I was trying to work out some hydraulic issues with motors and pumps to be able to change one in 15 minutes vs 3 hours and 15 minutes. Field repairs in the mud, Mercy.

My best wishes, what does "vent my spleen" do? Maybe I'll try that, Yoga I'm betting.. I feel a venting coming on. I just thought it was gas.:)

Freedom of speech....always. I come to WBF because I want to learn and listen to valued members' opinions on audio. If I wanted to read this trivial dribble I would go back to Audiogon. Can we get back to music enjoyment?

On the other hand if I'm so interesting to YOU just ask I might slip you my phone number. We can have a sit down, sip tea and admire my missing tooth, and glass eye. Sorry no Tattoos, just skin graft on both arms and my fingers. I had to put a guy out one time. He was worth it. I never met a person I didn't like. What they do on the other hand is a whole different story..

I just hope you and I can get along, I'm actually an OK guy. Like I said though, what people do and say count. Viking is the big issue. AG just hides it.. Who is worse, unless that is ok with you.. I'm asking YOU is it ok what they are doing? Maybe I should use the ignore button instead.. LOL

Then why would you post on this thread, it's about getting the guys money back. I agree 100% it's a shame. Why on earth hasn't Viking taken care of the guy and why does the "OTHER" site keep removing the information. I suspect you're not a fan of being ripped off, why would you want a fellow audiophiler to be any different. I still like Speaker-X looks. I'm a big planar, ribbon fan. Taking 2.5 years to resolve an issue, not so much.. It's not an issue anymore it's a full blown problem..

Close to picket time, and a little Kron 4 news. Maybe I'll use those frequent flyer miles and get a motel for a couple of months.

If the company doesn't have the money to pay him back, say so.. But he never got paid for his trade in speakers. The buyer STILL has not received the check or the speakers back. A promise to pay is worth just that.. A promise. One potato at a time. Money and an apology for starters.

I just saw a lady get arrested for grand larceny behind stealing a bulldog. What do you think 3 times the dollar amount will get you? They sold his speakers and kept the money.. WTF at least bitch about something you know about. Pick a better cause. I try at least..

BTW nice to meet you, what is it you're trying to learn?

The first rule of acquisition, "once you get their money you never give it back". LOL 2.5 years WOW!

The site actually has an ignore button. I really like this. People are polite and courteous. Good topics. Great tools to edit. I was actually welcomed by a person, not a BOT. Thanks again..

Update: Viking says they’ve mailed me a check but are charging me for repairs and return shipping. They also said they sold them as B stock for less money. So in the end I will still pay for all their screw ups.

Yes, I cashed a $4200 check back in Dec 2021. That equates to a 42% refund. I obviously mention that on this thread and everywhere else. I figured when you emailed me on 5/25/22 saying you mailed a check it was for the rest of the money you stole from me.

Again, I don’t doubt the horn was damaged on the return trip due to your extremely poor packing materials. Thanks for pointing out how bad it was.

And also again, that TubeMaster (floor standing one) has nothing to do with me. Not sure why you keep posting that. The model you made me with the inferior wood (your words) were the original model with the black boxes.
 
And once again NONE of this has anything to do with you stealing my money. I have no idea why you bring up everything except for the fact that you sent me horribly finished speakers, had me ship them back to you, then you stole my money.
 
The speakers look pretty nice when you don’t show the cabinets.

Derek, we sent you loudspeakers which arrived intact. You sent back speakers with broken horns and serious internal damage.
We sent a check to you as a partial refund. You cashed the check and we've proof of your cashed check.
We accepted your trade-in, made you a special price, built Berlin 1887 to match your audio gear in Audio Tekne gray blue (see pictures) with Japanese kanji engraving ( see pictures). You decided to change your order to TubeMaster we built two different pairs (see picture), you changed your mind and chose the Newest Berlin we shipped to you (see pictures)

I wanted to do more for you still because we valued you as a client: and I've stated this before.
Instead of allowing us to correct some minor cosmetic isues; including ones intrinsic to ply construction you carelessly sent them back. Even after we ordered the Kubox crates for nearly $400.00 which we still have.

Instead of being an audio "brother" and allowing me a chance to do right; you turned into a didactic customer that every manufacturer fears.

What's more is that we had a second check at bay for you: not much was left after all the repairs and shipping, selling your other orders at a discount, etc. Being that I only heard of the tsunami of shame foisted on the brand from a valued customer. You started that tsunami without giving us a chance to make it right.

It's difficult enough to be in business when times are good but we hope and pray for extra, extra, patients when times are so very difficult.
I know you probably feel like you extended that patience...and I've factored that in.

We've all families to feed, employees to pay; you, Derek have hurt mine all you had to do was extend the same longstanding patience we've extended to you more than thrice.

Stealing money? Please look up Narcissist personalty disorder or (NPD) You accept zero culpability for this ...how is that even possible.

As a neutral third party, I would make the following suggestion. @VikingHorn why don't you show a clear and concise cash flow accounting of this situation that makes clear how you arrived at a 42% refund and why you're entitled to the remaining 58% of what the customer paid to you (including trade in value).

Let me once again correct all your misinformation. It's getting tiring at this point.

You sent speakers intact with a HORRIBLE finish. This is why they were returned to you. It is not my fault that you decided to send me a speaker with such poor fit n finish. If you had sent a speaker in the condition I paid for none of this would have ever happened. Also, if you had shipped the speakers in reasonable packaging the damage on the return would not have happened. These are both YOUR issues.

You never ordered $400 Kubox crates. Flat out lie. You sent them to me in the cheap cardboard boxes because you said no Kubox were available due to COVID-19. These were at my house a very brief time (3 days?). There was never any mention of anything other than you were sending the carrier to pick them up.

There was no special price. I never once, ever, negotiated a price with you are any other small boutique vendor. The deal was for the original price published to the world on your website.

Berlin 1887 - you painted them the wrong color! You even had me go to Sherwin Williams to pick up their big swatch book and confirm this. You painted them the old Audio Tekne color, not the current Audio Tekne color (again, YOUR words).

I didn't decide to change my mind to TubeMaster. Your incorrect painting brought this on and I remember you were suggesting I get the TubeMaster because of the type of music I like and the electronics I have. This was a mutual thing that just happened. You did not want to paint the 1887 to black as I said I would be fine with.

You did not build me two pairs of TubeMaster. Totally false.

Oh right, of course. You had a check ready for the past 6 months but couldn't get it out the door to me, which is the reason it had to go public. You seem to live in some alternate universe where everything revolves around you. I'm not here to use my hard earned money as a loan to Viking Acoustics. You should have refunded my money the week you cashed the check from the new customer back in Dec 2021. But no, you never reached out to me and when I inquired multiple times it was lame excuse after lame excuse.

Spare the poor me bit. You need to be an adult and own up to your responsibilities as a small business owner.
